It was just a normal day in the Donnelly-McPartlin household. Ant was in the kitchen making dinner and Dec was sat over in the living room. He was going through old boxes of memorabilia "do you miss it babe?" He asked Ant from across the room. "Miss what Decs?" Ant stopped what he was doing and looked up. "Ya know presenting, the parties all that kinda stuff" he sat back in his chair as he flicked through all the pictures. Ant put down the knife he was chopping with a walked over to where Dec was. He sat down on the arm of the sofa picking up one of the photos. It was of him a Dec after they won another NTA "You know what, I don't we had our time and it was fun but look on the bright side now I get you all to myself" he moved over and kissed Dec on the head. It had been 12 years since they left it all behind. "Now clear this away dinners nearly ready" the taller man got up and went back to the kitchen. Dec got up and placed everything back into the box before calling their two daughters down to help set the table. They were over the moon when found out they were having twin girls it was like a dream came true for the pair and neither ever regretted leaving it all behind to focus on bringing them up.

"Daddy can I ask you a question?" Dec looked up from his phone, he preferred to be called Daddy and Ant was Dad since he was the more easy going parent out of the two of them. She had seen the box of photos on the floor. "Yes Jess what is it?" He looked at his daughter. "Why did you and Dad stop being famous?" They had never really explained or talked about their past with their girls and now they were growing older and asking questions. "Ohh it's a long story darling you wouldn't want to hear about it all" he looked over to Ant for help. "Right dinners ready Lucy can you grab that dish for me please" he announced walking over to the table. "Yeah daddy why did you stop whatever it was you did?" His other daughter put her phone in her pocket and picked up the dish. "It was just time to stop I guess, we found out we were having you two and we'd kind of done everything we wanted to do with our careers" he looked at Lucy the older one of the twins. "So tell us about it come on dad you never say anything about it what was it like?" Jess asked whilst eating her tea. "I tell you what, later on I'll dig out some of our old tapes and photos and you can see have see for yourself" Ant looked up from his plate. "Now eat your food" he smiled at his daughters.

Later on that evening the family were all sat in the living. They were laughing at Ant who was getting quite annoyed at the TV because it wouldn't connect. "Stupid bloody thing" Ant muttered whilst banging the TV and everything else around it. "Alright there Anth?" Dec chuckled to himself. "Yep just give me a minute.....ahh there we go just like magic!" He looked quite proud of himself. The boys showed Lucy and Jess some of their Saturday Night Takeaway tapes and it had the girls in stitches. "Why have you never shown us this Dad it's great?!" Lucy laughed whilst wiping tears from her eyes. "Never thought you would be so interested in it girls" Dec said half cringing at himself dressed like a women on the TV. A couple of of hours went past and the boys loved watching their daughters enjoying all their old work. They came to the end of one of the tapes and Ant switched the TV off. "Ahh Dad can't we watch more?" Jess said annoyed it was over. "Yeah another time now shift its bedtime" Ant was the always the more strict parents. "But dad" the two girls moaned in unison. "But nothing bed now" he pointed at the door. "Were nearly teenagers ya know you can't treat us like kids anymore" Jess replied looking at her fathers. "Yeah and don't we know it" Dec laughed as they left the room.

The girls went off to bed leaving Ant and Dec downstairs alone. They carried on watching some of their old work together reminiscing over some of the things they had done in the past. "It was great fun wasn't it Anth" he smiled looking up to Ant he had snuggled into his side. "Yeah it was Decs but I wouldn't change it for the world" he leant down lifting Decs chin up to kiss him gently on the lips. Times like this had drifted away from Ant and Dec in the past years due to having twin girls but they still had as much love for each other as they did when it all began.
