By this time I'd had a crush on the mysterious girl for a while. One day, I finally summoned up the courage to actually talk to her. I had everything planned out, I would tell her she's looks really pretty and seems like an amazing person and ask her to get a burger with me or something.
It was finally the right time and I escaped the clutches of the hellish classroom I had been stuck in for the last 3 hours. I ran to the bench she always sat at. I wasn't expecting her to jump up and thank me over and over for talking to her, but I did expect for her to at least...notice me. I run as fast as I can and when I arrive I'm panting like crazy. She keeps her head down still drawing. I nearly collapse and she act as if I don't exist. I start examining her and realize she has black headphones in and probably doesn't notice me.
I didn't want to scare her but I still wanted her attention so I lightly tap her on the shoulder after I sit next to her on the bench. She looks up at me, extremely annoyed and says,
"Jeez, I thought you'd go away eventually."
I sit there astonished. I mean I'm not the best looking guy but I'm not gross either. I'm totally worthy of her time.
"Jeez, I thought you'd save me eventually," I reply, looking her in the eyes."
