Your POV
On our way to the water park me and Justin are being awkwardly silent. "Ashley, I'm sorry your boyfriend broke up with you like that. He wasn't the right person for you anyways. At least in my opinion." Justin said out of the blue. I immediately looked at him and blushed. I guess I appreciate that he cares about me. "You know what Justin... I think I can finally declare us as friends," I said happily. He smiled at me and looked forwards again to concentrate on driving. We now arrived at the water park. I was staring at the slides while Justin tried finding a parking spot. After a few minutes of looking we finally found one! Justin and I got out, Justin headed towards the trunk for something. I forgot about it for a second and grabbed my towel and sunscreen. I then headed towards the back and saw that Justin had brought a cooler. "Good idea, need to stay hydrated" I said. He smiled and shut the trunk then locked the truck. "Yep...well let's go" he insisted. We walked to the front window area and bought two tickets. Justin previously bought some things and payed for the tickets. "You know, I could've payed for the tickets" I mumbled. "Nah, it's okay Ashley. You don't have to repay me, you've been through enough just going through a break-up" he said. I was thankful that Justin was around...
Justin's POV
While on our way to the water park, it was pretty quiet. Except for the noises of our normal everyday lives. I kept peeking over at Ashley just to look at her beautiful face, only if she knew how I felt. How i feel about her now and back then. "Ashley, I'm sorry your boyfriend broke up with you like that. He wasn't right for you anyways. At least in my opinion." I said shyly yet sadly. I felt bad for her, she shouldn't of been treated like that. I could tell she looked at me through the corner of my eye. My guts turned into mush once she said these words "You know what Justin...I think I can finally declare us as friends." I know, I know...I'm kinda friend zoned right now but at least it's a start! I looked at her and smiled then looked forwards again. A little while later, we arrived at the water park. Now all we have to do is find a parking spot...great, I see no spots, yet. Few minutes passed by and I finally race towards a parking spot and park. We got out and I headed towards the trunk to get the cooler. I made sure there were still no leaks and then I took it out as Ashley walked up. "Good idea, need to stay hydrated" she said surprised. I smiled and shut the trunk then locked the car. "Yep...well let's go" I insisted. We walked to the front windows and bought two tickets. She's been through a rough time so I'm the spender today.
