Ariela woke up the next morning to an empty space beside her. She frowned slightly but got out of bed. She walked towards the balcony and slid the door open.
"Good morning sleeping beauty." Dean gave her a toothy grin as he watched Ariela's cheeks turn a shade of pink.
"Good morning prince charming." She stood next to him as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
She leaned into his body for warmth as the two stared out at the view of times square.
"Are you excited for survivor series?" Dean asked.
"Yeah, I'm still shocked I was picked for the women's match." Ariela admitted.
"Get used to it. You're going to be the top women's wrestler in the company." Dean praised.
"No need to get my hopes up. I just got here. I have to work for it." Ariela said.
"I like a girl who works for stuff." Dean whispered into her ear as he stood behind her.
She felt goosebumps travel down her arms.
"Too close." She pushed him away, making him sit in the chair.
He laughed softly before nodding. He understood that she had boundaries and he was going to respect them.
"What are we doing tonight?" Ariela asked, remembering that Dean had something planned.
"Its a surprise." Dean winked.
Ariela just rolled her eyes. "Let's go work out and then get some breakfast?"
"Sounds fun. Let me just change into comfortable clothes." Dean grabbed clothes from his suitcase and went into the bathroom.
Ariela was already in tights and a tank top, so she just took Dean's sweater off. Dean walked out of the bathroom in a tshirt and basketball shorts. He looked up at Ariela and smiled.
"Ready?" He asked as he walked to the door.
She nodded and followed him out the room, putting the hotel key card in her bra. The two made their way down in the elevator and towards the gym. Before going in, Dean pays for two water bottles from the vending machine and hands Ariela one.
She thanks and they walk in.
"Want to hit the ri-" Dean cut himself off once he saw the ring. Well who was in the ring.
"Dean Ambrose." The girl jumps down from the ring. "Its been years."
The girl smirked as she approached the two. Ariela studied her slowly, noticing a negative vibe coming from her. From the corner of her eye she saw how tense Dean was. She could see the look of hurt upon face. In a swift, almost protective way, she lied her hand on the small of his back.
"Who's this? Your girlfriend?" The girl was now in the couples face.
"Actually yes and you care because?" Ariela smiled sweetly at her as the words dripped from her tongue threateningly.
"Take it Dean can't speak? Should've known, he was never able to speak for himself. Hi I'm Marissa Lee, Dean's ex girlfriend." Marissa smiled sweetly, mocking Ariela's tone of voice.
Ariela tensed. An ex girlfriend? More importantly, why does she make Dean feel uncomfortable.
"Can we go?" Dean mumbled.
Ariela looked up at him, searching his eyes. So many emotions were being held in and she could see how much he wanted to leave.
"Of course Dean." She gave him a reassuring smile and grabbed his hand, leading him out the gym.
