Just a little 5SOS

Part 1

If someone were to ask us when we were 16 years old what we would be doing now, I don't think any of us would've said touring the world with our best friends. Except if you were to have asked Maya, she would've said exactly that. She believed in us before we did, and especially before our parents or you guys did. She has been our rock and she had been with us since day one (she was there before the band had even been an idea). We love her very much, and we hope you guys will too. We know we are kind of springing this on you, but we hope you stand behind us, and you respect our decision to keep her to ourselves for as long as we have. We have respected her wishes to stay out of the spotlight, but we figured we couldn't keep it a secret anymore.

Luke has asked Maya to marry him, and she said yes (because those two are seriously goals for everyone). This was a while ago, and we wanted to tell you before it got out. They are now married, they have been for about a month now. We love her like she's a sister (except Luke because that would just be weird), and we want you guys to respect her. She is very busy considering she's getting her doctorate, and she doesn't have time to deal with the haters. She is the best person we know. The strongest too. She has been through things that no one should ever have to go through at such a young age. You guys don't need to know those things because they are extremely personal and she didn't even tell us until last year sometime. Please don't go looking into her because of this post. She doesn't need that, and we don't either. She's honestly the best, and we all love her. Please don't be mad because we kept this a secret. She and Luke wanted to keep their life together private for a while before they announced they were married. They went on their honeymoon, and now they are back, happier than ever, and ready to tell everyone.

So, here we are, all huddled around a computer, trying to get everyone's words out and still have it make sense. Well me and Cal and Mikey are, Luke and Maya are a little distracted... But oh well. "They are so in love it's f*cking gross" in the words of Mikey. But in all seriousness, they are very happy, and we would hate for anything to damage that, or damage their relationship (even if said relationship has already had bombs thrown at it and is still standing strong). Look at them now, it's the beginning of a marriage, a happily ever after. We are so incredibly happy for them, because as we said before, they are serious goals. We want them to have a happy, blissful and beautiful marriage.

We love you Luke and Maya Hemmings, and we want you to continue to be goals for everyone for the rest of your lives, even if you are making out on the adjacent couch right now. Much love to the two of you from the rest of us.

And much love to all of you out there reading this now from all of us here at the house, huddled around the computer like the idiots you all know and continue to love.
