Prologue
I finally see after 13 long years of being blind. The first thing I saw was him, my best friend and really only friend, here anyways. You could say we are lovers, but I will let you decide. We met in the fourth-grade, but not until two years ago did we really see what was under our noses. When I was in fourth-grade I could see for most of the year then something happened I can quite explain. Ever since I was young I dreamt of a different world. A world unlike the one I am in now, on in in the hospital in Dallas Texas. Dreaming of the same world every night, night, after night, after night. Every time I closed my eyes I reentered my dream world, as I liked to call it, it called to me, begged me to come back. Going into this world was like an addiction, I only wanted more and more, but I never could get more. It was like a thirst I could not quench that was until now. 13 long years I have been blind and 13 long years I have been in my dream land. Yes I had finally found a way back into my dream land, my thirst was now only starting to be quenched. No longer maddened by the place that taunted me in my sleep, that was an adventure I am not likely to forget anytime soon. Now let me take you back 13 long years to the day that changed my life, forever.
