STORIES
Stories are told for a reason. Non fiction are here to tell a tale. To keep kids from doing bad, and to teach a special and upfront lesson.
But fiction is a different story, it tells tales of a whole new world. Princesses with swords, and knights that slaughtered giant beasts for love and honour. Villains in black capes and twisty moustaches. But these are stories for children with a hidden lesson of keep your head in the clouds because you'll only have a life like this in fairy tales.
Then again I grew up reading every possible book I could get my small hands on. I read everything that would teach me how to feel. I'm a sucker for detail. And in fictional stories the author goes into detail of what the character is seeing, what the environment is like, and how the character feels.
But as a child I grew up not knowing how anything felt emotion wise."Move over." Zane said moving his hands in a shooing motion. I was sitting on the couch reading moby dick. I simply looked up from my book then moved over to the side of the couch instead of the middle.
He picked up the remote and turned on the flat screen and began to watch one of his favourite shows. "You tend to be more clever then you let me know." I commented as he watched Criminal Minds "This show is amazing did you know I have basically every symptom they talk about for a serial killer!" He laughed then stopped seeing my cold dead expression. "And you have the same symptoms from what i tell. Most killers lack a great amount of emotions." He commented
"Actually I lack every physical ability to express emotions a serial killer lacks basic ones. And they are still able to show emotion." I explained and he nodded agreeing "Though this show helps me figure you out." He pointed at the tv still looking at me. "Is that so?" I asked and he nodded "I learned micro expressions as a kid, even watched a show called Lie To Me recently. Really helped with seeing emotions." He grinned "You seem to have an obsession with emotions." I muttered and looked back at my book."And you have an obsession with reading. Come on the tv is on. Watch with me princess." He went to grab my book and I shifted so he couldn't. "In stories I am able to see the description of feelings. I read because I hope to find a book that'll teach me emotions." I explained and he scoffed "You act like you've never expressed an emotion in your life!" He laughed at me a simple glance between him then my book "You've never expressed an emotion in your life.." His grin washed away and I shook my head "Every memory I have I haven't been able to express anything. Nobody seemed to notice but a few kids back in high school. I don't remember much then." I mutter flipping the page "I thought you had a memory like a computer, little robot." He called me yet another nickname "I do, however I blocked any memory of high school and middle school as it was a pointless and wasteful time of my life."
"You were picked on weren't you?"
"If picked on you mean laughed at, ignored, and occasionally used for a better grade? Then yes I was picked on."
"I'm sorry princess. But hey I know a physiologist that might help you. Probably something with your brain!" His grin reappeared "Go back to watching your show, killer.." I muttered "Haha! Look see we're so close we have nicknames for each other princess!" He slung an arm around my shoulders and went back to watching his show.Stories are a way to escape our tragic realities. Why be an emotionless girl when I can be a girl in a deprived world pit against other kids in a fight to the death situation, in an arena with my whole broken country watching.
Or I could be a special girl who fits in anywhere and chooses to be a wild child and I have to fight the system that is doing my family wrong.
Or possibly I could be a kid stuck in a giant maze with a bunch of others. With no memories and trying my hardest to escape.
A girl in love with a vampire and a werewolf best friend.
Or how about a cyborg girl in a future so crazy that there is an evil alien moon queen threatening the future Europe king. And I end up being a futuristic Cinderella.Anything is possible in books and stories but nothing so fantastic can happen in the real world. But I suppose my life could be one hell of a story. After all I have a serial killer sitting next to me watching a tv show about behavioural analysts for the fbi catching bad guys. What more could a girl ask for right?
A/N: Heyyyy...Sorry I haven't posted in months! I was skeptical about the book, then I got busy with school. Then I got bigger and better ideas for a book (Which comes out another time). But here is this chapter. This is no longer a summer project it is now a normal project. I WILL finished this book! It'll only be by the least 20 chapters. Again so sorry! And see you next time. And this time it won't be months later.
