"TOP OF THE MORNING TO YA LADDIES MY NAMES JAKESEPTICEYE AND TODAY WE ARE PLAYING HAPPY WHEELS." I screamed my intro into my mic looking straight at my camera across my desk. Right now I am finishing editing my last video of the day ready to upload it and head to bed.
Once I decided that it was good enough to upload I went to YouTube and uploaded the video. I looked at the clock to see that it was only 9:30pm and I had some time to kill so I decided to see what my friends were uploading.
I went through my recommendation list to see if there's anything interesting happening. As I scrolled I saw an unfamiliar face pop up. It was a young girl with a headset on and making a Bolt pose looking towards the top right of the thumbnail. The title was "First time playing |happy wheels|" even though I was alittle tired of happy wheels for the day I was a little interested in this unknown channel. I clicked on the video allowing it to play on my screen.
Immediately an animated intro pops up
(I looked this up on YouTube thought it looked great and wanted to use it as an example.)
The username showed at the end "SurvivingLife452"
"Good afternoon!" The Girl welcomed, "I'm leilani and today I'm playing HAPPY WHEELS! For the first time ever so I'm sorry if I'm really bad."
I let the video run as I looked through the comments. You had the basic comments of "This was a great video!" to "you should stop making these kind of videos." This was to be expected from any kind of video.
The comments that stuck out though were along the lines of. "I can't believe she still doing videos after everything she been through."
My crurosity took over and I clicked onto her channel to see she has 11 million subscribers and has posted plenty of videos. I was shocked I'm just now finding out about this channel. I clicked her videos to see many of them of her playing different PC games. It seems as if she posted a video twice a week. I scrolled down to about a 2 and 1/2 years ago and I saw her looking at the camera with bloodshot eyes and tears streaming down her face. Before that video I saw alot of videos of her and what looked like her father.
I clicked on the video of her crying and pulling it up to full screen. The video was 5 minutes and 32 seconds long.
"hey everyone." She spoke quietly not looking at the camera. " I know you're all concerned with the fact that my Dad and I haven't posted any videos in a couple of weeks." her voice cracked as she said "Dad" and a tear rolled down her face
"My father recently.... Passed... It's a struggle now it's just me... I should of posted this earlier but I couldn't bring up the courage to do so till now.. " She spoke now with plenty of tears and her voice cracking with every word. "My father was in a wreck on his way home and.... Passed in the hospital two weeks from now..... As many of you may know my mother died 2 years ago because of cancer and I have no other family members willing to take me in. I've been staying at my friends house while everything is being figured out... " she paused once more and started to cry even more.
"As of now the only option is to send me to adoption center where I'll live there until someone is willing to take care of me... I don't know what's going to happen next or what's going to happen to this channel but I'll try my best to keep in honor of my father and mother." she said crying some more. "until next time this is a wrap."
The camera kept rolling though as she fell to the ground and you could hear her audible cry. Someone came running in and turned off the camera ending the video. I starred blankly at this heart broken sight of this young girl not even 11 years old crying at the loss of her father.
