'Watch me,' Noya mouthed the words at you.

Training had already ended, he had asked his teammate to throw the ball once more for him to receive when he saw you enter the gym. You had been going to the gym to wait for him and walk home together, ever since you started... well, dating. You weren't used to the fact, and weren't sure if you could ever get to used to it.

You didn't know how it happened. You were the shy student who was always by themselves during lunch, and he was the total opposite. But he started talking to you, and you began to open up more, to both him and the rest of your classmates. But you took a liking to him, and you were lucky when you found out that that liking was returned, when he asked you out.

Noya grinned at you before somersaulting across the ground to receive the ball that his teammate threw for him.

"ROLLING THUNDER!" He announced, laughing maniacally as his teammates slapped him on the back, praising him.

"Show-off!" You found that you had the courage to yell across the court at Noya, and couldn't help but giggle at his new flashy and crazy tactic.

He made a beeline for you, flashing you a set of straight white teeth. "Was I cool? That was like a 'swoosh' and the ball hit my hand and I had been waiting to show it to you for the longest time!"

He was practically bouncing with the rush he had felt after doing his new crazy move for the first time in front of everyone.

"You were cool," You admitted, not really looking at the volleyball player in front of you. A blush rose to your cheeks, as you weren't used to complimenting him at all.

He gasped, and his coffee eyes became as big as saucers.

"Noya, are you okay?" You asked, cocking your head.

"I'm fine! Let's go!" He shook his head as if to clear his thoughts and slid his arm around your shoulders, a smile spreading across his face as he waved goodbye to his teammates.

As you walked towards your houses, he talked about everything that happened during training that day, and his smile seemed to only grow bigger whenever his stories made you laugh.

When you finally reached your house, you stopped in front of the door, and Noya shouted a farewell to you as he walked backwards towards his house, which was further up the street. As you lifted your hand to wave back, you suddenly remembered the bag that you had been holding.

You had forgotten all about it! Up ahead, Noya had already turned back around, hands in his pockets.

"Noya, wait!" You decided to run and catch up with him, holding the bag up when he halted in his steps.

"I... I bought your favourite drink for you because I knew you'd be tired and thirsty after training, but I forgot to give it to you. I'm so sorry, it isn't cold anymore! I can't believe I forgot," You looked down at the ground.

Noya only took the drink from your hands, eyes sparkling. As an afterthought, he leaned in close to kiss your forehead.

Heat rose to your normally [s/c] cheeks, and you looked up in surprise, realising that Noya's cheeks were just as red as yours.

"I might just love you....." He shook his head and the corners of his lips tipped up in a shy grin that squeezed your heart. He firmly placed his hands on your shoulders, turning you back in the direction where your house was.

"It's pretty late already, your parents might worry if you don't go in soon." He said, the apples of his cheeks still stained red.

When you turned back at your door to watch him leave, his smile was the biggest one you had seen that day. He waved to you, hands clutching his drink as he continued walking on, footsteps seeming so much lighter.
