"Hey! Hey! Jack! Wake up!"

"Ugh?" Jack replied to the voice as he strained to keep sleeping or be in his state of limbo as much as possible. He knew what would be waiting for him. He didn't want to go back. Not to reality.

"SEAN!"

That woke Jack up as his eyes widened getting blinded by the sun's rays on his eye sockets.

"What!?" He snapped but then closed his mouth as he saw Mark hoovering over him slightly.

Jack looked down.

"Sorry." He muttered as he waited for Mark to respond with something that would hint he was still mad. If lucky, he wouldn't have to get hurt again.

"Sean, I made breakfast downstairs. Get up." He replied as Mark took a couple of paces back waiting for Jack to get up, folding his arms as he stared at the young Irish man with a scowl.

Jack took three minutes to get up, he would've taken more time had he not seen Mark look pissed off, but he couldn't help it, his body was aching over. Probably from last night.

As Jack got out the room Mark behind him the walk was silent on their long walk through the hallway. As Jack reached the staircase leading down he had trouble from the pain in his legs.

Mark sighed obviously not pleased.

With one great big kick Jack was sent flying down the stair case screaming as he hit his back and head with the floor finally reaching the bottom as a carpet cushioned his fall.

Jack groaned as he struggled to get up.

"Listen if you don't want to eat I'll put it in the trash." Mark replied threat-lingly. Jack knew if he didn't eat what Mark made him, especially when Mark was mad at HIM. Jack wouldn't get any more food till the next day.

"N-no, I... I'm coming." Jack replied as he got up and made his way wincing into the kitchen. He saw that his breakfast consisted of eggs and orange juice.

Jack sat down as he thanked Mark who didn't seem in the mood for thanks, or talk that much. As Jack was eating he looked up and noticed a gash on Mark's cheek. Pure fear and horror shook his core.

Did he do that? No, he wouldn't, he couldn't! Mark would have surely killed him! Mark seems tk notice Jack staring at him and he growled making Jack wince.

"M-mark-"

"Shut it Sean. Eat."

Jack opened his mouth but closed it nodding silently as he ate the remains of his food.

Once that was done Mark sighed.

"I have to go meet Felix, he wants to discuss something important with me. You are to stay here and not go anywhere. Or so help me GOD I will find you. And I will kill you." Mark replied getting close to Jack as Jack cowered under his cold stare.

"Do you understand?" Replied Mark.

Jack nodded.

"Good." Mark went up to get some stuff.

Jack registering what Mark had said made him frightened! Mark would kill Jack. Mark didn't care or lobe Jack! He was just some doll to him, a toy, a pawn, nothing more.

That broke Jack, crumbled his heart. Truthfully even though he hated to admit it with every fiber in his body. Jack loved Mark. Even through all of the abuse. He still loved Mark. (Why?) Thought Jack. (Why do I love someone who hurts me?) Jack sighed.

Jack didn't want to be cooped up in this house. But there was no way in Hell was Mark letting him anywhere near the outside world.

Jack wanted to tell him to take him with him. He knew it wouldnt work. Mark was WAY to mad right now. Especially since Jack had slashed his cheek. But being the stubborn Irish man he was Jack waited for Mark tk corn down with a suitcase in hand. Jack's eyes widening as he knew he could try to escape. But it wouldnt help. Jack looked down fidgeting.

"M-mark-?" Jack replied softly as he glanced up to see Mark staring down at him.

"..." Was all Mark could say as he stared at Jack waiting for a response.

"Please, take me with you. I promise I won't do anything! Or ask for anything! But please! Don't leave me here!"

"No." Mark said.

Jack's heart shattered as he started to cry.

"Please Mark! Ill be good! Besides! What if I try to escape?? What will you do then!"

Mark stood silent giving him a narrowed look. "Why do you care. Wouldn't you be glad?"

Jack stopped as he stopped in disbelief. (I shouldn't care... I'd be home free! But I cou- no! What am I thinking!?) He brushed away the tears. Since when HAD Jack cared?

Mark grunted as he opened the door.

"M-mark-!" Replied Jack as he Mark was halfway down the walk now.

Mark turning halfway giving him a warning.

"I... I just wanted to say good luck, with, the 'meeting' at Felix's. Could you tell him I said hi?" Jack replied.

Another grunt was received to Jack's response as he got in the car and took off.

Jack had the whole house to himself. Depending on how long it took Mark to get there and back, also depending with Jack feeling and getting better since the injuries he sustained yesterday last night. He could vanish without Mark getting him.

But something didn't feel right. He didn't want to leave Mark. (What is wrong with me!?)

~An Hour Later~

Jack was still deciding on wether he should leave or stay. The obvious choice came to mind. But he knew is he left Mark would find him. Especially now that his body was aching and he clearly couldn't get far.

No, Jack was going to escape. He was going to escape this wretched place and he was going to never look back. He would leave all his thoughts behind. All these awful memories. He knew now he needed to escape or he'd never have a chance later. (Thank you Felix!)

Jack opened up the door and he slammed it. Running to the nearest bus station. Mark couldn't possibly be back anytime soon. Even so he knew Felix would keep him there a good long time. Jack didn't look back as he got onto the bus. Jack averted the people who were talking or minding their own business as he sat in a seat alone.

Jack would be home free. He would finally go wherever he could. He wouldn't have to fear Mark or hear the threats that would make his skin crawl everytime he did something.

Jack was now alive. Alone. And happy. Nothing could change that. Nothing would change that.

              How wrong he was.
