Dark's POV
~Flashback~
I took over Mark like I normally would. He did put up more of a fight than usual, at the time I didn't know why. Until I saw her, she was cooking in the kitchen, I didn't see what it was but it smelled good. I walked over to her and put my hand on her shoulder and leaned down to her ear and whispered.
"Whatcha cooking human?" She jumped, turned around and smacked me across the face with the searing hot frying pan, getting bacon everywhere in the process. It surprisingly knocked me to the floor.
"Oh sorry, I didn't- what the? What's up with your eyes Mark?" She set the pan back down on the stove and knelt down carefully next to me.
"Oh I'm not Mark."
"Then you must be Dark. Mark told me about you." I honestly didn't expect her to be so calm about this. The last girlfriend left Mark because she read a fanfic or something where I was a killer fueled by bloodlust. Soon enough she helped me up while the dog enjoyed the fallen bacon.
"So um... Wow I don't know what to say. Normally I'd have to calm them down. Or try and stop them from salt and burning me while acting like Sam Winchester or something. I guess Mark really told you what I'm about." She chuckled.
"Nah, I'm just sorta used to weird things like this happening. When Mark told me I just shrugged it off." What kinda girl did Mark find? Jeez, I mean I tried scaring her and she would just laugh. I could not find a way to get through her. She seemed fearless. Soon night fell and since I normally stuck around for a couple days I walked into her room. Yeah, yeah I know I sound like a creep but I'm a demon I'm supposed to be scary. I sat on the edge of her bed and accessed her dream. It was odd. I can still remember it clear as day.
Her dream went something like this;
She was being chased by someone. She seemed slow, she soon fell to the ground as the person approached her. I saw the man and recognized him, it was the infamous Wilford Warfstache. He was carrying wings in his hands, they looked like they had been severed off. I wondered where they had come from until I saw the bloodstains down the back of her shirt. She started shifting in her sleep. I couldn't just stop watching, I wanted to know what happened next. She had starting moving backwards while lying on her back, she ran into something. She looked up and saw Mark, but he had my red eyes. He pulled her up by her shoulders as Wilfred came close enough to look her dead in the eyes, he was inches away from her.
Then it just stopped, everything went black. She woke up. She was shaking and gasping for air.
"No... No dear god please no..." She grabbed her arms and dug her nails into the skin, constantly muttering no or stop. I had left her room before she woke up, just around the time the dream went black. I knocked on her door before opening it.
"Are you okay?" She shook her head.
"What's wrong?" She opened her mouth to say something but slowly shut it.
"I-I can't say..."
"Mark can't hear you, it's alright, tell me what's wrong." She shook her head again. She just broke down crying, I didn't know what to do. I tried to comfort her, but before I could even try and hug her wings unfolded from her back. They just came out of nowhere, it almost looked like something from Maximum Ride. Then I knew what she meant when she said I'm just used to weird things happening. Wilford doesn't play around like that, he was really going to hurt her.
"What's he trying to do to you?" She turned her head to me, she quickly wiped her tears away.
"I-I... How did you know...?"
"I know Wilford, he doesn't play around."
I spent the next day trying to get whatever it was out of her, she didn't crack.
I wish she had told Mark before the crash.
