(Hey I decided to actually space out my paragraphs this time so it looks more clean and professional. Anyway lets get to it)
The old man slowly walked over the door stepping over some boxes on the floor and when he opened the door he was greeted by 3 . The one furthest to the left had long blonde hair, the girl in the middle was the oldest of the bunch who towered over the others, and the one to the right was clearly the youngest being a lot shorter than the one to the left. The youngest one said
"Hey Mr. Miles we have a gift for you!!"
This delighted the old man so he replied smiling
"Oh a gift? Oh let me see it young one"
The oldest girl handed him the gift which was in Christmas wrapping despite it being Halloween time
"Why is there Christmas wrapping when its Halloween?"
Everyone had a chuckle especially the old man, The kid furthest to the left then said still laughing a little bit
"Well we wanted to give you a gift in advance because we're gonna be gone up until January and we only had Christmas wrapping from last year"
"Oh where are y'all gonna be going this year?"
"We're going to C-cancuint?" The youngest said which gave Miles a chuckle
"It's Cancún, not cancuint, now the word cunt, that's a bad word and you should be ashamed for saying that horrible horrible word"
Miles said that in a sarcastic tone making the kids chuckle once more, the youngest said
"Well open the gift and tell us what ya think!"
"I will do young girls I will do, by the way can you give me a hint at what it is"
All the girls shook their heads
"Well take it easy girls, bye"
All the girls waved bye to the old man. Mr. Miles shut the door and looked at the gift the girls gave him. He analyzed the wrapping and felt the gift to give him a hint at what was in it. It was definitely a book.He unwrapped the wrapping slowly and steadily. The back of the book was just black, no description. He turned it back around and teared more off. The cover of the book was just a black cover with the words "Shadows on the wall" In bold white. It looked like a good book but there wasn't much to judge it from by the plain cover. Mr.miles then read the very first page of the book.
