As Jay walked down the stairs to his main throne room he had an uneasy feeling. At last he got down the marble stairs and looked out across his huge throne room where he would enjoy life everyday unless war had stricken plague to his kingdom. As he sat down he noticed the seat was a bit damp " why is my throne damp? is there a hole in the ceiling?. . . " he wondered aloud, as he stood and turned to examine the damage of his chair he saw one measly pale finger, a finger he's touched many times. . . .

It was Saphire's cold dead finger, what he had sat in was not water but blood, his special pet's blood.

He looked at the cold dead finger in horror " h-how. . . .w-when. . . . is she? . . ." He saw Mai, his other pet, his blind but not entirely helpless pet walk into the room, today she wore a red slipknot shirt and some black shorts. He smiled gently and petted her " Who died?. . . ." Mai said

" I'm not sure if she's dead, but it's Saphire's blood. . . ." he said grimly as he picked up the finger, went and got paper towels, and cleaned up his throne sitting down miserably. " I wonder. . .  did Blade do this as a warning to tell me to back off?. . . " Jay wondered aloud, Mai shrugged before saying " Probably, he isn't to be trusted, especially with Saphire." She licked her hand and stroked her hair and he smiled a bit miserably petting her, she purred softly.

" Who else might you think could have done it?" Mai said suddenly " It couldn't have been Blade, he might have divorced her to live in another kingdom but he still loves her, she told me that not seven-teen hours ago. . . ." Mai suddenly explained, Jay stroked his chin in thought with his index and thumb before saying. " Well, it would make sense if a random visitor had done it, she might not be dead, just kidnapped, if that's the case we must find her! She could still be-" he was cut off by a young woman walking into the room with a note, she seemed shy and innocent, a little too innocent. . . .

" Who are you?" asked the king in his formal voice " M-my name? . . . I-it's destiny. . . " The young girl had little wolf ears that seemed damp as he realized it was raining outside.  She wore a blue dress of rough design and texture. " A-are. . . you King Jay?" she said, trembling from the cold in which she was. " I am, come in and get comfy, I'll get you some clothes." Jay said standing straight as a tobacco pole, he than walked up the stair in search for clothes that would fit a young girl such as her. He had an odd feeling around her, one that he quite enjoyed for some odd reason. . . .
