Peter's P.O.V.

It was dark out. Pitch black with only the light of the moon to guide me as I hopped from rooftop to rooftop, small thuds echoed throughtout the silence of the small village when my feet hit the wood. My pan flute hung around my neck, swinging out of sync of my movements and my forest green cloak fluttered behind me. The hood of my cloak hid my smirk, casting a shadow upon my eyes but it could not hide the green glow from my eyes. Mischief. The only thing that made them glow, as far as I knew anyway.

I finally came to a halt on top of a house right near the church and caught my breath. Even though I did this almost every night, it still made me tired. I sat down and looked out over the town, a small breeze ruffled my hair and sent a shiver down my spine. I looked up at the church clock. Three more minutes. I saw three windows dimly lit from the house across the street. Two more minutes. One of the lit windows became dark but the other two became a bit brighter. One more minute. Another window darkened but the last window glowed even brighter. I smiled and raised my pan flute to my chin. Then, the tick of the minute hand hit twelve and the chime rang out. It was midnight and the last lit window died out. I chuckled. Now it was time to play.

I raised the pan flute to my lips but before I could even play a note, I heard something. Something that pierced the night's silence like The Jolly Roger through Neverland's ocean. I looked around to try and locate the sound, but the only thing that I saw was an owl, swooping through the air gracefully. I watched as the owl landed on the roof of the church, it's wings fluttering as it landed.

It looked out over the town and I saw that the moon was hitting it's feathers and suddenly noticed that a few of it's feathers began to glow. I stared at the owl, curious of what was happening. The creature spread it's wings over it's head until both of the wing tips were almost touching, and it glowed even brighter. I shielded my eyes so the light wouldn't blind me.

I could see the light dimming and I turned around to look at the owl, but it was gone. Instead, a girl stood there on the roof. A dress made up of what looked like snow white silk hung down to her knees with large, bright blue feathers that wrapped around her chest and waist, trailed the back of her dress, and down passed her feet. She had navy blue hair cut into a pixie cut with a few small, sky blue feathers in the back. Her pale skin shone in the moonlight as she looked over the town, her dark blue eyes scanning the homes of where the children lay asleep in their beds.

I crouched, hidden in the shadows, watching her as she stretched out a pale hand towards the moon, closing her eyes as she did so. Her pale lips moved as if she were talking but no words were heard from were I was. She took a step forward and leaned forward slightly, her other arm stretched out beside the other towards the moon. She opened her eyes and lifted her head, her gaze fixed on the starry sky above. Dropping one arm, she reached out with the other and raised herself onto her toes, balancing on the very edge of the roof.

She leaned forward on her toes, teetering on the edge on the roof. Suddenly, the girl fell, but it seemed to happen in slow motion. Her arm still stretched out and her hand seemed to be grasping at the moon, as if trying to grab it. The blue feathers from her dress moved as the wind rushed through them. One feather however, came loose and flew free of the dress, falling gracefully down towards the ground.

I suddenly snapped back to my senses and rushed towards the edge of the roof and looked down, expecting to see that girl laying motionless on the stone ground. Instead, a blinding blue glow blasted me back, causing me to crash into the chimney and hit my head. I tried to call out but my voice caught in my throat as my vision became blurred and soon gave in to the darkness
