John

They had gotten ready in as little as half an hour (not including the little distractions they'd made for themselves in the bathroom) and were finally in the car. John still hadn't earned his license so it was up to Ringo to drive them up to Mimi's.

"How long is this going to take," Ringo asked and shifted in his seat uncomfortably. "My arse is killing me."

"Well that's what you get," John smirked and kissed him gently. "Take a right over there."

"Yeah yeah," Ringo rolled his eyes and did as John instructed. "Here?"

"Yeah. Pull up in the driveway." John said and tapped his fingers on the window of the Rolls Royce.

He hadn't seen Mimi in so long. What would she say to him?

Ringo looked over at John with concerned eyes. He reached over the shift and intertwined his fingers with John's.

"Hey," Ringo smiled and kissed their hands. "You okay?"

"Nervous," John answered and bit his lip. "I went at night when she couldn't see me."

"I love you and all but god, you're such an idiot." Ringo laughed and unbuckled his seatbelt.

John smiled weakly and tried to do the same but his fingers felt like rubber. His head was pounding and he couldn't see clearly, no matter how many times he tried cleaning up his lenses.

The boys didn't dare to walk in hand in hand. John was sure Aunt Mimi would never forgive him if she saw he was out with blokes now. It was nostalgic for John. The smell of freshly cut grass and dirt from the dug up ground was almost overwhelming.

John let out a quivering breath and walked up the porch where the same dirty brown door stood. His knuckles were pale and he was trembling. He managed to find the strength and knocked three times. There was some shuffling from behind the door and it was suddenly sprawled open. The person who opened it wasn't height level with John. Instead, she reached up to his hip.

"Cousin Johnny's here! And he brung Ringo from his band too!" John's cousin squealed and soon enough two girls had ran up to the door to greet the two Beatles.

"Hello there darling." John smiled and picked her up. The grip squealed and gave the man a shy kiss on the cheek. She leaned close to the man and whispered something to him.

John laughed and kissed her head. "Well I do suppose our Ringo is a cute one, yes."

The other girls were awestruck to see the world renowned drummer at the steps of their home. One was blushing and the other was gawking up at him. They just couldn't believe it.

"Is that really him?" The second girl asked and John snickered.

"Girls don't be rude, say hi to Ringo." John said with fake sternness and they giggled.

"Hi Ringo." They all uttered in unison and giggled shyly.

"Aw they're so cute John, can I keep them all?" Ringo smiled and the girls nodded along with his idea.

"Girls why is the door open? I thought I told you to--John." It was Aunt Mimi. The woman that had managed to raise John all on her own and made him a successful young man.
