I sat down on the couch with my toaster waffles and some left over cold pizza. Yes, this is my breakfast. I turned the tv on and the first thing that showed up was Eleanor Calder, my childhood friend with the one and only Louis Tomlinson. The news person said 'Louis was spotted with a new girl'. I was shocked. I hadn't seen or heard anything about Eleanor from anybody. I figured she moved away like far away, but the reporter said they were spotted in London.
"LILAH!!!" My roommate and bestie Chloe yelled down the stairs
"SHUT UP!!! I'm watching something!!"
"god... I feel so loved..." she said walking into the living room. Her blonde hair was up in a messy bun, like always. She wore her lacrosse jersey with leggings. "anyway... I was gonna ask you if you wanted to come to my practice today, but obviously you don't"
"Sorry... I just saw my old best friend Eleanor Calder on the tv"
"Ohh yeah I heard she was dating one of the 1D guys... wait... you were besties with her?"
"yeah.... It's been forever since I talked to her though, she probably forgot about me..."
"Awww... don't say that. I don't think anybody could forget you, you're too crazy and adorable" She stuck her tongue out at me.
I laughed "Thanks" I said sticking my tongue back at her.
"DID I JUST HEAR SOMEONE SAY 1D?!?!??!?" my other roommate and bestie Sydney yelled running down the stairs and almost landing on her face.
"Yeah..... jesus.... you seriously have crazy hearing."
"when it comes to One Direction yes" Her hair was down. It looks like she only got to brush half of her head before running down the stairs. "So what were you saying about them??"
"I saw my old friend with Lewis or whatever his name is on the tv"
"It's pronounced Louu-ieee not Lew-iiiss, and you were friends with Eleanor??!?!?!"
"Uh.... yeah"
"OH MY GOD!!!! you should call her!!!"
"yeah thats the problem.... I haven't talked to her since like 10th grade...."
"awww damnit!!"
"yeah..."
"Well I should get to practice... See you guys later" Chloe said grabbing her purse from the counter"
"See ya!!" Sydney and I said in unison.
"ok... so tell me the story of you and Eleanor."
"Uhm ok... Well we met in 1st grade and we became inseperable like immediatly. We stayed like that until the summer after 10th grade. She moved away. We promised to talk everyday, but after a few months I wouln't hear from her for days and the days turned into months and into years. So, yeah I haven't heard from her for 3 years." I remembered some childhood memories. One where Eleanor and I were at the park, we must've been in 5th grade, we were jumping off of the swings when it started to rain. We hid under a big oak tree. It kept raining harder and harder until we decided to just run home. We got back to my house and we were soaking wet. We laughed so hard at what happened we couldn't breathe and we felt six packs comming.
"oh... well you never know, she's in london you could bump into her!!"
"Yeah... hopefully I will. Anyway, I gotta go get ready for work."
"Ok"
I put my Nando's uniform on. Sydney had said something about on of the members of One Direction liking Nando's. His name starts with a 'n' I think. I don't know I've never been a big Directioner. Sydney's obsessed, or as she likes to say 'dedicated' more like obsessed and addicted. That fandom is creepy. I don't understand how they get all this information about them.
I got to Nando's and started my shift. I was cleaning a table when I see Eleanor, and the rest of One Direction walk in.
"Eleanor?" I said as she walked past.
"Yes?"
"I'm Lilah, your-" she cut me off
"Oh.. My.. God... LILAH!!!" She ran over to hug me. "I've missed you so much!! I'm so sorry for not calling you back all those times!!" She started rambling on and on about how sorry she was.
"Eleanor... Eleanor!!! It's ok!! I missed you too."
"El, who's this?" Louis said confused
"It's my childhood best friend, Lilah!! oh my god sorry for not introducing everybody! Lilah, this is Niall, Liam, Louis, Harry and Zayn. Boys this is Lilah." She pointed to everyone. Niall!!! thats who loves Nando's...
"Hello, nice to meet all of you"
"Nice to meet you" Liam said
"oohh!! Lilah, you should come sit with us!"
"I can't I'm working... and speaking of working I should get back to it."
"Aww come on... Let's go talk to the person in charge here"
"oh ok..." She dragged me to the counter and asked for the manager.
"Sir, I was wondering if she could sit with me. I know she's working, but please?"
He looked really taken aback "Uhm..."
"We'll order everything off of the menu"
"Uhh.. I guess. Only for a little bit, Lilah you have a half an hour"
"Thank you so much!" Eleanor said dragging me to the table where the guys were sitting.
We talked and ate so much food, but I like food so it was fine with me. Eleanor hadn't changed much, just got older and a lot taller. We finished the food and they left. I went back to working. God Sydney's gonna freak when I tell her all this.
