I thought we were going to be together forever, but I guess I was wrong, way wrong. He said he loved me and that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and one day have kids, I believed him and I went along with the ride. "I love you he would say" and he would call me the love of his life, I was sure he would be my night in shinning armor, my Prince Charming boy was I wrong. And this is how my story started.
His name was Tyler Brooks and he came to our school when I was in 5th grade and I didn't really hang out with him but I would see him in the hallways talking to his buddies actin like he was all that and I would just ignore him. A few years later he started dating my cousin on and off and I got to know him better, I guess I started to get a crush on him but I didn't realize it. I started hanging out with him a school I thought it was just a friend ship but he gave me his number and we would text back and forth pretty much all day. We were texting one day and he told me to come meet him in the hallway next to my classroom.
"Hey" he said.
"Hi" I said back.
"Can I ask you something?"
"Sure" my stomach sank, I was scared what he was going to ask.
"Ring ring" the second bell rang and that meant we had to go to class or we would be tarty.
"I'll text you later." he said.
"Okay see ya." The bell saved my life I thought, but now all I could think about was what he was going to ask me. I was at the same time excited about the text.
Winter break was coming up and I was at my grandmas house babysitting and me and him were texting, he asked me who I like (like he did thousands of times before) and I told him to guess, he kept guessing and finally I told him who I liked. I asked him who he likes and he said well you DUH isn't it obvious. I asked him what we do now and he said I don't know, I asked him does this mean we're dating now and he said yeah I guess. I showed my cousin and she laughed and said "good for you." we kept texting back and forth for the rest of the day, but this time it were texts that meant we were dating.
When I saw him at school the next day I didn't know what to say, but what did happen was we were walking around the school and talking. people were surprised to find out that we were dating, I didn't care though I was happy (or at least I thought I was) and that's all that mattered to me.
In a few days was the school dance and I had to convince him to come. When it was the day of the dance he had asked me why I wanted him to come (this was before we started dating sorry) I had told him that I just wanted to hang out with him and of course he didn't believe me, but I'm glad I just got to hang out with him. But things got weird and awkward when I was going to the bathroom and he followed me most of the way there saying "I'm stalking you."
We would dance together (not slow dance) and at the last slow dance he asked me if I wanted to and I said yes, so we got to at least do one slow dance. That was one of the best dances that I've been too!
(Still not dating yet) The next day we were texting back and forth at school and he had asked me if I had fun dancing with him and said that I wouldn't answer until he did, he said yes :) and I told him that I did too. After that our relationship was growing and my crush became more than just a little girl school crush it became the real thing.
