The Strange New Wolf-Girl

Chapter 1: The Beginning

I awoke slowly, it was far too dark to see anything, but my trained wolf eyes adjusted quickly. My long dark black hair with purple tips covering my face, I brushed it out of the way quickly with my hands.  I was so confused, and then I remembered…I was in our hidden family cellar!!

Momma locked me in here when we were attacked. What nerve that guy, we trusted him too. Suddenly the thought occured to me, “I wonder if everybody is okay”, I spoke aloud.

Back Story

Our village was located far from civilization on a small island. It was home to a clan of Ōkami people (half human and half wolf), the land was called Aeralda. We were often called upon to help the ninjas in wars. But once, our people refused to go against the Fire country, with whom we were allied to. For the first time, we allowed an outsider to live with us. His name was Reiga. We trusted him completely, not knowing he would turn against us. He brought thousands of enemy ninjas into our land and attacked us. This is when I, Ayra, was thrown into the cellar to be saved…..

Back to the Present

It was very cold in here and I left my jacket in the house. “Great”, I muttered. I quietly got to my feet and stretched out my stiff body.

I heard a strange noise and looked at my feet to find my companion wolf Stormbringer. I realized that she must’ve been with me when I was put in here! Storm (for short) was an interesting wolf who became attached to me when I saved her one day in the forest. She usually stayed as a little wolf pup but when I needed to fight, she would grow into a huge full grown wolf…one larger than most! When she changed, fire covered her body; it surprised me the first time it happened, she can also breathe fire. But it is useful when she changes because she can give me an amazing sword when she transforms, it would just appear out of thin air.

Stormbringer is a beautiful dark gray wolf with black streaks throughout her fur. When she wasn’t my fighting partner, she stayed a small pup, and I carried her around in my arms. I never went anywhere without her. I was happy to find her with me!

I grabbed her and gave her a big hug, which she returned the affection with a few small licks. I giggled and got ready to open the door. I straighten my dusty clothes and walk towards the door. I try to push it open but it won’t budge. I didn’t expect that momma would truly lock me in!! “

Hey Storm, do you think you can get us out of here?” Storm yawns and jumps to the floor, she quickly transforms. The light from the fire blinded me momentarily after being used to the darkness, spots covered my vision. Then I got used to the dark again. Stormbringer then shot a fire ball at the wooden cellar door and a huge hole was left.

“It’s nighttime!” I exclaimed! “How long was I in here??” Storm transforms back and jumps back into my arms. I then proceed to climbing out of the cellar, with no clue as to what awaited me outside…
