Johnny's POV (Point Of View)
She is still sleeping in my bed and she hasn't told me her name yet. Mom said to wait until she wakes up to ask her. When it was almost noon, I went to my room and saw her sitting on my bed. She looked at me and I smiled. "What's you name?" I asked.
"Cindy," she said and I nodded.
"Did you sleep good?" She nodded and she walked over to me. "Are you hungry?" She shook her head.
"No." I took her hand and led her to the living room. Mom and Dad were still reading.
"She's awake," I said and they looked at me.
"Oh, good," Mom said.
"Her name's Cindy and she's not hungry," I said and she nodded.
"Alright, would you like something to drink then?" Mom asked her and she nodded. "What would you like?" Cindy shrugged.
"I don't know," she whispered and Mom walked over to us.
"How about we go to the kitchen and find something." Mom held out her hand but Cindy moved closer to me.
"Your scaring her," I said and hugged her. She hugged me back and Mom nodded.
"Alright, then take her to the kitchen and I'll get you both a drink." I nodded and took Cindy to the kitchen. Mom made us some chocolate milk and we sat at the table. "Oh, Cindy, you need a bath," Mom said and Cindy frowned. "How about I fill the tub with bubbles and you jump in?" Cindy nodded and Mom left. I finished my milk and smiled at Cindy. She started to mumble something but I couldn't understand her.
"What?" I asked and she looked at me.
"What?" she asked.
"You said something but I couldn't hear you," I said and she shook her head.
"No, I didn't," she said and I frowned. Dad came in and smiled at us. Cindy moved closer to me and Dad frowned.
"Something wrong?" he asked and Cindy ran out.
"You scared away." I ran after Cindy and found Mom leading her into the bathroom.
"No, I can do it myself," Cindy said and closed the door before Mom could get in.
"Ok, call for me if you need anything," Mom called through the door then looked at me. "Come here, honey." I walked over to her and she hugged me. "She's taken a liking to you so be good to her, I have a feeling she's going through a tough time right now." I nodded.
"Only if she don't hit me again." Mom smiled and nodded.
"Your going to have to asked her not to and if she'll be your friend." I nodded and she kissed my cheek. "Alright, go play." I went to my room and played with my toys.
"JOHNNY!" Cindy screamed from the bathroom and I ran to her I opened the door. She was wrapped in a towel with blood running down her arms. Mom and Dad were right behind me. They grabbed towels and wrapped them around her arms. I went over to her and she hugged me. I hugged her back and saw Mom pick up a bloody razor. She looked at Dad and he frowned. I took Cindy to my room and looked at her cuts. They weren't deep but were still bleeding a lot. I wrapped the towels around them and grabbed some of my clothes.
"Here," I said, "these might fit you." She nodded and I left the room so she could get dressed. She opened the door, wearing my clothes, and we went to my bed. We laud down and she cuddled against me. "Cindy, do you want to be friends?" I asked and she nodded. I smiled then frowned. "Why were you in the woods?"
