Chapter 5: A Sister's Care

Miranda's POV

He appeared to have not heard my scream. I trudged through the trees, cursing my dress for not helping. Finally, I arrived just in time to prevent him killing his own brother.

" Nate! Stop! " I said as I pushed him away. I slapped him hard, and he slumped. I instantly felt guilty but knowing Nathan, something painful was the only way to mark some sense into him. Instantly, the crimson faded, leaving only his usual sharp gray eyes.

He looked at me then at Steven then at Tisiphone. Then, he slumped. I sensed him began to get angry again. 

" Miranda, erase his memory of tonight. " he ordered as he went over to Tisiphone to untie her.

I sighed and walked over to Steven.

 Adrianna's POV

"Tisiphone!!! " I yelled as I saw Nathan carrying her. She had bruises all over and she was breathing raggedly.

" Adrianna, please show us where Tisiphone's room is... " Miranda whispered. I rushed and pointed. Nathan laid her on the bed and started rummaging her cabinets.

" What do you think you're doing? " I asked him. He has NO right to rummage through Tisiphone's personal things.

" Looking for medicinal blood, dammit! " he screamed, which startled me.

" No, there's none... " I whispered.

" What? " they both turned to me.

" She refuses to drink human blood. Even I don't know why... " I explained.

" I can help... " Ebony whispered. Of course! I lead all of them outside.

" Why are we here? Tisiphone needs help! " Nathan yelled.

" Ebony is the help. Her major gift is healing. " I stated calmly. A pang of jealousy hit me. Why was he acting all mushy with Tisiphone?

I pushed the jealousy aside.

" Care to explain now? " I asked them.

" We better sit down. " Nathan muttered as he pushed past me.

3rd Person's POV

A banging on the huge double oak doors startled everyone inside awake. The king jumped down from their bed and opened it.

" Adrianna?! What are you doing? " he asked exasperated.

" I' ve got a bone to pick with your eldest son. " she said as she pushed past me.

" Steven? Why?!" he continued asking her. Adrianna ignored him.

Some of the guards formed a barrier in front of her, which seemed to piss her off more.

" Get out of my way! " she yelled as she flicked her hand. Instantly, all guards flew and smashed on the wall to the right. She continued on.

She reached Steven's room and cracked her fingers and neck. She then pounded on the door.

It opened to reveal a yawning Steven. His eyes widened as he looked at Adrianna's angry face.

" Father! " Miranda screamed as Nathan and she approached him.

" Adrianna! Stop! He doesn't remember anything! " Nathan yelled as he restrained her. Her crimson eyes landed on him and she snarled.

" This bastard hurt my sister! Let go of me Nathan! " she shrieked as she shook herself free.

She lunged at Steven, but he ran away. Frustrated, she screamed. All of them covered their ears but it was not enough. Soon, they heard a thump upstairs.

Tisiphone and Ebony came running towards Adrianna. They both knew that Steven was much stronger than her, and what with Tisiphone experienced, she could be killed.

Adrianna stormed upstairs and they heard struggles. After some time, they heard a choking noise.

" You should have known better than to screw with me, bitch. " Steven muttered, his eyes glowing red in the darkness. He threw Adrianna across the room.

Suddenly, Steven's body twitched, as though electocuted, then dropped. Ebony stood behind him but dropped down. She sobbed as she hugged him.

" Someone needs to teach him to control his anger... " Miranda whispered as they all disappeared in the darkness.
