A school bus was slowing to a stop then it rushed off past a Christmas tree farm. And a series of shops just outside of the city a place with open field of white snow. And dirt roads Lined with houses covered in Christmas lights. At the very back back of the bus sat a boy. Jessie whice but he preferred jess. Which was short for Jessie. He had wavy light brown hair and big curious olive colored eyes eyes.
He lived in the orphanage down kareat rd, just outside the busy and full of light streets of London. He had lived there most of his life since his parents abandoned him in a well when he was just a toddler. Long ago children born with any shade of green eyes were said to be witches even boys. So they would throw them into a well. If the child climbed out they were a witch. And would be hung the following day if the child drowned they killed an innocent child and the parents would be given money by the priest.
Jess had a family who where strong believers of the old legend the doctors said it was a mental disorder that his family had but they would act normally around everyone else in town except the priest at the church.
The belief of witches died out many years ago but there were still some who believed out there.
No one really sat with jess on the bus except for a short quiet girl named ida she lived at the orphanage as well. She didn't really talk to jess but no one liked her she was very strange more strange than any other girl but that doesn't really matter.........
Well.....not right now
