Hi, my name is Arabella Matts, I twenty-two years old and I am one of Percy Jackson's best friends. Today is the US national swim meet and Percy invited me as one of his eight guests. He is swimming six events and I plan to ask him out after his last race, I mean he must like me because he invited me and none of our other friends.

I arrive at the pool and enter to the smell of chlorine. I sit down on the metal bleachers in the section Percy told me to sit in. He said his other guests would be sitting there too. I pull out one of my textbooks and start to study because I knew I wouldn't see Percy until the end of the swim meet. I look up as a small family approached me. The man is hot, blond and blue eyes, like the sky on a cloudless day. I swoon just looking at him, but he isn't even close to as cute as Percy. The man is holding a small toddler's hand, his daughter most likely, the little girl has shoulder-length wavy golden blonde hair and blue-gray eyes. The woman has an athletic build, slender yet strong. Curly, golden blond ringlets rain down her back and stormy gray eyes that look like they calculate your every movement, she is strikingly beautiful. On the woman's chest is an infant carrier, where a small baby lays sleeping. The baby looks like a girl based on the purple flower headband in her hair.

"Are you Arabella Matts?" the woman asks.

"Yes, I am," I answer.

"We're in the right place, Jase, my back is killing me," she sits down next to me before continuing, I'm Annabeth and that is Jason," she says gesturing to the man.

"I'm Sophia Bianca!" the little girl exclaims, "S-O-P-H-I-A B-I-A-N-C-A," she spells out.

"I'm sorry about that, ever since I taught her how to spell her name she hasn't stopped," Annabeth smiles over at the girl with love in her eyes, "And this is Silena," she says pointing to the baby on her chest, "They are two and six months,"

"It's nice to meet you! I'm Percy's friend Arabella" I exclaim. Percy never told me he had a sister, but then again he doesn't really talk about his personal life at all.

I look over at the blond family, Annabeth had already pulled out an Advanced Math textbook, while Jason was playing hand games with Sophia. The hand games stopped abruptly when a curly black haired woman walked in, with a little girl, about four, whose hair was just as black and curly.

Sophia got up and started to run towards them, "She's your's Jason, you're not carrying a baby on you," she smirks. Jason rolls his eyes and runs after her.

He soon returns with Sophia and the two new people.

"Hey, Sal... Mom," Annabeth stands up and hugs her, "This is Percy's friend, Arabella," she says pointing to me.

I wave.

"Hi, I'm Sally and this is my daughter Andromeda. Paul couldn't make it. He had in service," she adds more to Annabeth and Jason than to me.

"Nice to meet you," I smile.

"You too." she replies before diving into a deep conversation with Annabeth and Jason about Silena's sleep patterns and how some people named Thalia and Piper are doing.

Eight hours, 20 pages of notes and 2 essays later it is time for Percy's last race his best race, the 1200 freestyle. Percy's coach is on the edge yelling at him to swim hard, while Annabeth is screaming if he doesn't win she will beat him up, and Jason is yelling that Thalia will beat him up either way so he might as well win so he has bragging rights. I just yell at him like I do at every meet and Sally claps and yells until he beats his competition by eight laps. Annabeth hastily picks up Sophia and rushes to the slide line of the pool where Percy is heading. I make it to the sideline right before Annabeth and I can tell she's not happy about it.

"You did awesome, Perce!" I exclaim.

"Thanks, Ara," he says side stepping my attempt to hug him and making his way towards his family, "Wait, Percy, do you want to go out to dinner with me sometime?" I ask smiling.

"Sure! How about Applebee's? Sophia loves their Mac and Cheese for some reason," Percy says smiling at Sophia and Andromeda.

"I mean alone, somewhere more romantic, not with your sister and her family," I say shaking my head at his stupid-ness.

Percy facepalms, "I should've told you since the beginning," he mumbles.

Annabeth shrugs, "I told you so," she sasses.

"Annabeth is my wife, not my sister," he says straightening up, "Sophia and Silena are my daughters, not my nieces. Jason is my cousin, not Annabeth's husband. Annabeth and I got married when we were nineteen, we had Sophia when we were twenty and we were twenty-one and a half when Silena was born. We don't talk about our family because we don't want people to look at us differently than everyone else. Annabeth graduated from Harvard when she was twenty because she took college courses through her junior and senior year while I'm just finishing now. So now we are ready to start our real, normal lives. I'd still like to be friends but, Annabeth and I have been through hell with each other, I will never leave her. Goodbye, Ara. See you later," he gives me a sympathetic smile. He goes over to Annabeth, kisses her and Silena on the forehead, hugs his mom, gives Jason a bro hug, he picks Sophia and Andromeda up, and together they walk out as a family.

That is how I met Percabeth, Percy and I never were quite the same, but we still saw each other, smiled and shared a few words. I always asked about Annabeth and the kids and he always asked about my life.

After I graduated I became a preschool teacher and I had all eight of Percy and Annabeth's kids, Sophia Bianca, Silena Phoebe, Luke Beckendorf, Charles Fletcher, Zoe Night, Michael Lee, Kinzie Celyn, and Castor Ethan. I never got married or had kids of my own, but the preschoolers were plenty. I was thankful to have meant Percabeth and their beautiful bunch of children.
