Taming A Monster a.k.a Shawn Apostol

First Day

It's early in the morning. I'm so excited to my first training as a rookie Detective. I'm Kathrine Byrielle Gonzalez, in short KB.

Nandito ako ngayon sa harapan ng Monte Carlo Precinct Hall. Sa tagal kong pinangarap na maging isang detective ngayon abot kamay ko na. Ilang araw akong hindi nakatulog sa kaiisip nito. Maging tulad kaya ako ni Sherlock Holmes or ni Detective Conan. Omg!! hanggang panaginip lang. Whole my life was obsessing with them.

Dahan dahan akong lumapit sa guard dahil sa sobrang aga ko wala pang dumating na morning shift.

"Good morning po. Is Chief Inspector De Guzman is here already?".

"Good morning po maam, naku si Chief wala pa po. Mamyang 7:30 pa po ang dating nun ma'am.". Sagot sa akin ng matandang guard na nasa tantiya kong mid 40 ang edad. Medyo kulubot ang mukha pero matikas parin ang pangangatawan.

"Ah~ganun po ba. Pwedeng hintayin ko nalang dito sa loob?."

" Sure po." Nakangiting sabi nito.

I nodded at pumasok nalang sa loob. It's 6:30 in the morning. I have 1hr. to wait. Pero hindi bali alam kong hindi ako maiinip.

7:30am

Saktong dating ni C/Insp.De Guzman. Dahil sa pintuan palang nakita ko na siyang papasok.Agad akong tumayo at sinalubong siya.

"Sorry Miss Gonzalez to make you wait . I didn't expect you to come here in this early." He apologized.

"No. It's okay Chief, I'm so excited, that is why." simpleng sagot ko na hindi maalis ang mga ngiti sa labi ko.

Nagpatuloy kaming naglakad patungo sa opisina niya.

"How's General Gonzalez?" He asked me while he took off his coat na kasalukuyan nasa office niya kami.

"He's doing great Sir, He's enjoying his retirement vacation in States". I answered then I sit on the couch.

"Great" he smiled.

Chief De Guzman and I only knew a secret na anak ako ng isang General. Kaya madali akong nakapasok dito. Pero walang nakakaalam na merong anak si General Gonzalez.

"Would you like a cup of coffee?" He offered.

"No, sir I already done " I resisted.

"I call Senior Inspector Apostol this early in the morning which is well be your partner. I need to orient him."

"Ah okay sir.I'm eager to meet him"

"He will be soon.Would you mind you wait him in his office. I need to talk to him personally. His office is in the last right corner. You saw that when you walk straight then you turn right."mahabang sabi nito.

"Okey Chief, I got it." Then tumayo na ako at binagtas ang tinuro niyang daan

Sa unahan may nakita akong isang lalaki na nakaupo agad ko itong nilapitan.

"Hi, is that S/Insp. Apostol office?"tanong ko sa kanya sabay turo sa unahan na office.

"Ah yes miss, Do you have any appointment with S/Insp. Apostol?" tanong ng lalaki medyo may katangkaran at maamong mukha.Mukhang kakapasok lang nito dahil bagong bihis.

"Uhm,, I'm Kate Byreille Gonzales in short KB a new trainee detective"pakilala ko.

"Oh~~sorry .I didn't know you first. By the way, I'm police officer Vince Reyes. It's my pleasure meet you KB"sabay lahad ng kamay.

" It's my pleasure too. Won't you mind to wait him there"

"Sure KB" nakangiting sabi nito.

Agad akong tumalikod ng papasok na sana ako ng office ni S/Insp. Apostol ng muling nagsalita si Vince.
