In all honesty, I think I should have guessed that old Momma Battleborn would want to meet Christa. After all, I am her only biological son. Jack is my twin, but only because we share common DNA. We are blood brothers, nonetheless. I knew I had to tell my fiance, C-Gear. I walked over to where she had been training. She normally did this in her free time, because once a mortal or a demigod dates a God, they become Immortal. I wait for her to take a break, patiently. "C-Gear!" I shout. Well, almost patiently. She jumps, falling off the platform she was balancing on, cursing in Greek. "What, James?" she huffs. I smirk, "Well, I just wanted to tell you my mother is planning on visiting. So, I have to dress you up like a 'proper' war goddess." I sigh. To my surprise, C-Gear simply just nods with a smile, "I'm okay with that. I get to see the woman willing enough to put up with you for your childhood," she joked. In all honesty, I didn't want to tell her she was wrong. For the first half of my life, I was imprisoned. I was a child slave, working from dawn to midnight. I lifted rocks, broke them with a pickaxe, and did other laborious tasks. To be honest, I almost broke down in tears thinking about it, but I'm supposed to be strong. I'm the strongest war god to ever live. So I just nodded with a bright smile, "Yup! The woman who put up with me," I repeated, dreadfully. I knew she'd be arriving in exactly three days time. She always brought Alpar Nokian candy. Which is delicious, if you didn't know. I had to get everything ready for my dear mother. So, to the store, I went. I had to get Greek curtains and other stuff to decorate the cabin I built for C-Gear and me. Only time could tell. Would she like her, or want to kill her...? After all, the wedding is soon.
