Christina was deep in the book she was reading. She was at the her favourite corner of the library.

She loved the milky light that came from the window and the harmonized sound of flipping pages.

Suddenly the sweet silence of the library was ruined. Christina raised her head. At the door were a group of boys.

They weren't the kind of boys who came for reading, she thought.

And she was right.

One of the boys came and sat right next to her.

"Hem... hey."he said.

Christina looked away from the book. She hated when she was interrupted while reading.

The boy had one pair of hazel eyes who would drive crazy every girl. But not her.

"Yes"

"I think you're very pretty. Can we date sometimes?"

Christina looked at him. Her expression was blank.

These kind of guys who just look at you and ask you out just because their little brain tells them you look good.

She hated them.

"No."she replied in a dry voice.

"Why not?"the boy insisted."C'mon it will be fun."

She let the book down for the second time.

"I said no. Go away. I can't concentrate"

"This is the effect I have on girls hun'."the boy replied arrogantly.

He was really getting on her nerves now. She searched her pockets. Something ringed, probably her keys.

She took a pair of white headphones and put them on.

"Oh okay I get it. You dont want to talk to me. Dont need to put headphones on. I'm just leaving."

"I dont want to talk to you but that's not the reason. It's very noisy and I need to read."she replied.

The boy looked around in disbelief.

"Actually it's very quite in here. We' re in a library."he said in 'duh' kind of voice.

"Just because you cant hear them doesn't mean they're not there."Christina replied.

The boy narrowed his eyebrows with a disgusted look.

"Weirdo"he said and walked away.

Christina sighed. Finally.

Than she looked around. In front of her there were creatures.

With tentacules, with big eyes, with five legs. They were scary. And they were always there.

At first Christina had thought she was crazy. She had visited psychiatrists, even a fortune teller.

No one knew what was happening to her. Than she discovered they would never go away. So she learnt to live with them.
