Chapter 5

In the morning...

Your POV

I wake up to Kira snuggled up to me. She was peacefully sleeping, her head on my chest. I look on the floor where our clothes are scattered. I take a deep breath. Her eyes flutter open. "Morning (Y/N)" she whispers. "Morning Sunshine." I reply. She snuggles in more. "Didn't you have a training thing to do?" I ask her. She shakes her head. "No" she says tiredly. "You sure?" I ask her. She looks at me. "Yes I'm sure" she answers sounding annoyed. "Ok just checking" I reply sinking into the bed. I sigh. "You su-" she cuts me off with a kiss. "I sure"

A few minutes later

We're still laying comfortably on the bed. The door open. "Ki- What on Lothal is going on!?" It was that Ezra guy. Kira hides under the covers. I look at him with a scared expression. "Nothing" Kira says from under the covers. Ezra just roles his eyes. "Sato wants to see you" he says then walks out. I lift the covers to look at Kira. "He's gone" I tell her. She pokes out. "You sure?" She asks. "Yeah pretty sure he's gone" I tell her.

She gets out of bed and collects her clothes then heads to the refreshers to get dressed. I gather my stuff and get dressed. She comes out not long after. "Well I've got to go, bye (Y/N)!" She says as she exits.

Kira's POV

I walk down the hall to the command centre. I open the door. Sato nods at my presence. "I have a mission for you, Sergeant Mortham" he told me. He turns on the hollow-projector. Tatooin shows up. "There is important cargo that is on Tatooin. If we don't get it before the Empire does... It could be game over for us" he says sadly. "What exactly is this cargo?" I ask. "Information about everything we do, where our base and other bases are. The people that provide information to us. Everything about us" he said looking at the projection. "I'm in" I tell him. The door opens. "Not without us you aren't" Kanan says with the rest of the crew. "Good there is a ship waiting for you... May the force be with you"
