He tries to flee, but there's nowhere to turn
His heart starts to ache, his mind starts to burn
His legs fail beneath him but there's nowhere to fall
For there's nothing beneath him, no, nothing at all
His mouth opens wide but not even a scream
Manages to escape into this horrifying dream
He's trapped in this darkness, he begs for a sign
That god has not left him completely behind
Then suddenly, appearing right in front of him
Was a towering figure, all shadowy and slim
He said: "Follow me, and hurry, if you must; For i'll show you fear in a handful of dust.
