I watched her sigh. She snuggled down under the white quilt the cold hospital beds provided. Her wavy ombré hair lay spread out on the pillow behind her head. Her olive green almond shaped eyes staring blankly up at the ceiling with her eyebrows furrowed.
"You alright?" I asked?
She didn't look at me, her heavy gaze remained staring at the ceiling when she said.
"Mia's my half sister, I love her to pieces."
I was silent, waiting for her to open up to me.
"Ian's her dad, my step dad. He's an asshole. He was my mums boss until they started fucking each other. She'd always say she had to stay longer at work." She snorted a mean, short laugh.
"They divorced only when mum began to show her signs of pregnancy and dad managed to put two and two together."
"Where's your dad now?" I asked, my voice a whisper.
"In Australia, for work. Although I think he wants to stay over there. Away from mum really." She said flatly.
My heart beat for her. I'd spent two whole days lying next to her but she intrigued me.
I meant what I said about fate. She stumbled into my life and I'm defiantly not going to let her go.In school, I was a fuck boy. Every week, I'd wake up with a new girl in my bed. I'd like to say I understand girls, how they act and think but the truth is I don't. Or, well I understand the sluts. The ones who flaunt their bodies and paint their faces on. I'd give anything to understand Olivia, I just want to know what she's thinking. She's mysterious and fascinating.
"Olivia McHenry, Deago Nolan: if you'd like to sign these papers with your details on....." the doctors voice droned to the back of my mind. I didn't want to leave the hospital, in the world I had a chance of losing Olivia.
