"That's a bad habit,"
I ignore her.
"Are you Impressionable?" My therapist asks.
"What's that even mean?"
"It means you are easily influenced" She says brushing imaginary flecks of dust her velvet skirt.
"No." I continue to bite my nail. Why would she think that?
I stop biting my nails letting my hand drop into my lap.
"Don't stop on my account."
She smiles."I'm not." I lie. Stupid therapist. Why am I here? I'm not crazy. I'm not disturbed or bothered by anything. Well, except Alex's death.
"Did you hear me?" Her voice interrupts my thoughts.
"What." I snap agitated. I bite on my nails again.
"So, you need a smoke?"
I glare at her. My eyes wander to her name tag.
"No, thank you, Angus," I grin smugly "Isn't that a guys name."
She shifts in her leather chair making it fart.
"Isn't Rudy." She counters "Besides everyone calls me by my nickname it's Camie"
"Cool." I roll my eyes not giving a care in the world. I bite my nail more viciously causing it to bleed.
"So back to my question-"
"I quit." I cut her off.
"How convenient." Camie writes on her clipboard.
I bite on my nails.
Camie watches me curiously.
The clock still ticks and I crunch on my nails some more.
My thumbnail bleeds until a trail of blood goes down my arm.
"Can I get a band-aid?"
