Characters new and old may start where ever you want whether that be at IGR (Institute for Genetic Research), or SHGG (Safe Haven for the Genetically Gifted).
The goal of SHGG is to find a method to separate the special genes from the DNA of those who were experimented on by IGR. A secondary goal of theirs is to take down IGR. The head of SHGG is Gale Reed.
IGR currently has no clear goal. The head of IGR is Jeremy Grey.
There is a second branch of IGR several miles from the other two labs that has already found a cure. Their goal is to cure all of the projects without making themselves known or sharing their methods for removing the enhanced genes from DNA. The head of this branch of IGR is currently unknown.
The layout of this roleplay is sort of like this:
IGR is on the outskirts of a large, dirty city with a low population. Around the lab is an open field that goes on for about a mile before transitioning to a forest. SHGG is about seven miles from IGR. There is also an open field around this lab stretching out about a mile. This lab is about eight miles from the city. The five mile stretch between the labs is all forest. The second branch of IGR is ten miles from SHGG.
