Being a werewolf isn't all about finding a mate, being rejected, or even about going away as the not-so-good-looking-girl and coming back as a supermodel heartthrob. Nor is it all romance and being an alpha of a huge pack and not wanting the responsibility. It's certainly not about forbidden love or running away from a mate that, quite frankly, doesn't care.

There are bigger things to worry about than a little bit of heartbreak and a few petty problems in this lifetime.

This isn't a story about love, and unfathomable connections with some gorgeous guy; it's not even close. Nothing's easy, and to tell the truth, I wouldn't have it any other way.

My world may be difficult to understand, but it's shaped by the hatred and greed displayed by all of those around me, just like any other universe.

I don't have all the answers. I'm not perfect, but I won't lie; this is not a story where everything turns out right in the end. That's just not the way the world works. Sometimes the bad guys win; sometimes, good people do go down fighting.

I won't guarantee you a happily ever after because, just like so many things in this world, it wouldn't be fair. However, I promise you that I'll tell the truth.
