When Luke woke up his head was pounding and immediately he knew something was wrong. He opened his eyes realising where he was and why he was there. All his worries from the previous day came rushing back and he quickly takes his boyfriend's hand. His heart aches at the sight of the boy he loves laying there slowly dying in front of him. Luke clutches the ring he's carried in his pocket for days waiting for the right moment as a tear rolls down his cheek. He leans down and kisses Dylan's forehead, "D-dylan please babe you gotta pull through this. You're strong. You can do this." All of the sudden Luke's greatest fear comes to life as the heart monitor goes crazy. His vision blurs and nurses rush in, "Sir we have to ask you to leave the room." "No! I'm not leaving him!!" "Sir we'll do our best but you have to leave." They say and push him out of the room. Luke's sobs became hysterical as he fell to the floor praying the love of his life would be okay but when the doctor opened the door an hour later, he knew his prayers had not been answered.
