It was a really dark midnight. It was cold, and very quiet. Messiah, McKenzie and I were watching a scary movie in the basement of McKenzie and Messiah's house. I just came back from the kitchen upstairs to pop some popcorn. When I arrived to the basement they were out cold, so I continued to watch the rest of the movie by myself. Little did I know, I soon was sleeping. The movie continued to play. I woke up to go get a blanket for us, because it started getting cool inside. McKenzie has long curly hair and green eyes, and she's 7 years old. Messiah is her twin brother. Messiah has thick curly hair, and green eyes. All of a sudden we hear a loud bang up stairs. I went to go check what or who it was but, it was no one there. As I was walking down the stairs to enter the basement, the door slams behind me. Instantly, I turn around to see what it was. My heart starts to pound really, really fast. McKenzie woke up terrified with her bright green eyes popping out of her head. She asked me "What's going on over there Ymani?" I quickly responded "I don't know, the door just slammed behind me." Messiah tried to go get the house phone to call their mom. Suddenly we all heard banging and glasses dropping from the counter. "There is someone in the house" we screamed. I told everyone to stay calm and be very quiet. Next thing you know, the power in the house went out, and luckily I had my phone. I tried to use it for the flashlight. Soon, my phone started running out of battery, so McKenzie went to look for a flashlight and a charger. Minutes later, she came back with three flashlights and a charger. I forgot the power was out so my phone didn't charge. Boom, Boom, Boom we heard. We were so terrified. We didn't know what was going to come down the basement stairs. We tried to call McKenzie and Messiah's mother, but she didn't answer her phone. A little while after that, we heard someone scream out loud to the top of their lungs. We started calling for help. Help! Help! Help! No one came. We forgot that there was a window in the back of the basement. So we broke the window with a piece of metal pipe. We soon broke out and we went to see what the screaming was. The screaming was so loud, we could hear where it was coming from. "C'mon guys let's go see what happened to that lady" McKenzie said. When we escaped, we quickly ran across the street,to go in the house. When we got inside of the house, we seen shattered glass on the floor. We seen a door, but it was black and really dark in the house. As we seen the door, we walked in. When we walked in, we seen McKenzie and Messiah's mom tied up in a chair with tape wrapped around her head and over her mouth. We tried to save her but we heard footsteps approaching the room. Instantly, we tried to hide but someone grabbed us up and took us in a different room. It was so cold, i almost froze to death. A little while later, McKenzie and Messiah's mom and the guy with the mask came and got us from the room and told us it was all a prank. After that taught us to never go into someone's house if we hear any screaming, it's better if we just call a cop.
