Okay so you see that my cover in this book is Steven and Rose together.
If you saw the new episode, I forget who it was, but someone in the episode said that Steven and Rose is a fusion. Based on this theory, I am writing this book. Steven has Rose's gem, so it makes sense. Steven is a fusion of Rose and Greg. TIME TRAVEL (we're going back into a few episodes in time and by a few I mean like 2 seasons) So, Greg and Rose were singing a song together because Greg is musical and all that jazz, btw the song is called what can I do for you.
And Pearl, again was being salty and she thought that Rose and her fusing together (Rainbow Quartz) would make Greg impressed and she was damn right. So yeah, bah blah blah after the song is over Pearl says that fusion is the ultimate bond between two gems. Pearl basically gets that idea in Greg's head that he has to be able to fuse with Rose in order to have that bond.
But hears the catch, humans and gems can't fuse. Like it's a known fact that they can't, not even if they try. it's just impossible. Greg thinks that he has to fuse with Rose so he keeps trying and trying.
Eventually Greg makes his own dance.
