Chapter 3

Gajeel's POV

Levy and I walk out of the Library after working there. The time is 8:00 and we have to be back there at 7:00. Today we worked for 6 hours and got $30.00 each, so $60.00 in total. We keep walking back to where we will stay until we can get home. Levy is holding a book that she got about this earth history. I sigh as we keep walking. I suddenly tense up as a growl. Levy stops and look at me.

"Is everything ok Gajeel?"

Before I could answer, I feel something cold and metallic on my left side on my forehead.

"Move and your dead," a male say as I look at him with my crimson eyes. "I'm gonna take your girlfriend and leave. Follow and she's dead."

Levy hold my right arm.

"Ya not gonna lay a finger on her," I growl as he smirks.

"Then goodbye mister," he says.

I turn my skin to iron as he pulls the trigger. A loud BANG rings out as I punch him in the face. He stubbles back as the bullet lands at my feet.

"Ya gotta try better than that," I tell him as I knock him out. "Ya ok Shrimp?"

"Yeah...let's get back to Pantherlily," Shrimp tells me as I turn my skin back to normal.
I hold her hand as we walk away from the idiot.

Artemis' POV

Wally and I are walking around when we hear a BANG. I recognize that as a gun shot as we run to where the shot came from. We turn the corner to see a dud with a gun in his hand. He is shaking as he leans against the wall. I see a bullet on the floor. We walk over to him.

"What happen," Wally ask as we watch him.

"I-I was going to take this dudes girlfriend. B-but he stopped me after I shot the bullet. A-and he should have died b-but his skin was metal and n-not like what is was a second before I shot the gun. T-then he called me an idiot," the mane says as he starts to cry.

I knock him out as Wally looks at me. We turn to see the Flash, aka Wally's uncle, speeds over.

"What happen?"

Wally explains as I get the gun away from the dude's hand.

"I man mad out of metal...we should have Martian Manhunter or Miss M go into his mind."

"Yeah. What should we do with him?"

Levy's POV

/sorry bout Artemis's short POV little moonlight/

I sit next to Gajeel as we relax in the cave. I had made a jar so we can keep the money in them. Gajeel had buried the money near the cave entrance. My thoughts wonder back when the person tried to take me and Gajeel protected me. Neither of us tried to protest when he called me his girlfriend. I was too tired to think. I try and stay away after a long day of working at the library.

"Get some rest Shrimp. We have to get up at 6:30," Gajeel tells me as I look at the clock that I made.

The times says 9:00 and I nod as I snuggle next to Gajeel. I'm eyelids feel heavy as I close and go into a deep sleep.
