I'm going to make this like my Marvel story and be my own plot just with the character from the DC universe and yes, she's from DC universe but I will explain how she knows everything as I go. In each author note I will provide a tidbit of an explanation but not everything and I'm doing this to not reveal the entire story or make these too long. Also, these will only be added when necessary so you won't have to worry about these that much because I'll mostly jump right into the story. This is a prologue explaining some things and showing the major differences I did to this story and it will be in 3rd person POV. I believe I've said enough, onwards!
In an alley, a small boy about the age of eight is with his parents, smiling and laughing while discussing the movie they has just seen. All is well until a man with a gun asks them for all they've got. The parents comply but the man still shoots and kills them...right in front of the boy. He then directs his gun to the child and just as he pulls the trigger, a figure jumps between the bullet and child. The figure blocks the oncoming metal projectile with it's ink black wings, causing a feather to fall on the boy's head. The wings cascade in front of the owner, obscuring them from the gunmen's view but not the kid's.
The kid eyes the back of his savior in confused horror, thinking that she died for him but she is still standing. Yes, the figure is a she as the kid can tell by the long, dark locks falling down her back. Her wings open and hide the child from view as she sends a cold, soulless glare at the man before her. Her glowing magenta eyes gleaming in barely contained fury. She bares a skeleton mouth as a mask for the lower half of her otherwise beautiful face, skeletal armor covering her body as her black wings protrude from it between her shoulder blades. Speaking of blades, her bony scythe metal blade glints in moonlight above.
"You dare try taking a life from a child? After brutally murdering his family before his eyes?" she hisses in a raspy, deep voice that does not match her beauty at all. Her magenta eyes turn a deeper shade of amethyst as she continues to eye the man in disgust.
The young boy is shivering in fear before looking at his dead parent's faces but quickly looks to the back of the woman's head once again. She appears to be in her early twenties...perhaps twenty-three? The man pulls the trigger once more but the woman catches the bullet in her fingertips with ease. Suddenly, she's before the man and her scythe is right on his jugular. She leans in close as her eyes look into his.
"Repent." she whispers and the man begins to scream as his worst horrors pass through his mind. He tumbles to the ground and proceeds to enter the world of unconsciousness when his eyes roll to the back of his head. She glances over her shoulder at the boy, who steps back in fear.
"Pl-please, d-don't kill m-me." her eyes soften until they're a light shade of purple. She turns around to fully face him and folds her wings behind her back as she makes her way over the quivering boy. Her wings then reopen to hide the bodies of his parents. She kneels before him to be of eye level and looks into his eyes but he looks away not wanting to end up like the man she defeated.
"Relax, little one. I only go after those who are guilty." he slowly looks at her. She touches the parents bodies with both her wings and their bodies glow white for a second before floating white lights flicker up to the sky above. "They are safe now. As are you." she continues as he looks up at the lights ascending to the sky. He looks back at her.
"Thank you... But... Now I'm alone." he begins to cry but she pulls him into her arms.
"Silly child, you have your butler." he gasps and she retreats from him to once again peer into his eyes. "Do not cry because it is over. Become strong to love on for your parents. Do not let their death sadden you so. They would not want that. I'll tell you what," she removes the feather from his head and hands it to him, "you ever feel sad or lonely, give that feather a kiss...and I will be there to guide you or assist you." he nods as he eyes it skeptically. The woman chuckles seeing how he does not believe her.
"Why would you help me?" he asks her. She stands up and removes her mask showing pink full lips. She smiles giving away the view to her pure white teeth.
"You have an important future ahead of you, Bruce. I'll see you around." She bends forward and kisses his forehead before spreading her wings and taking to the sky. Unknown to the child, or Bruce, she flies through a white portal in the sky.
***(Btw, this is based on the cartoons and movies but a mixture because I like how they portray them differently in each so I like to mix them.)
***A tornado is about to take the life of a man as his family and other people watch helplessly. His son goes to do something but he shakes his head at him. Suddenly, the man feels tingly all over as the tornado passes right through him. When it is a distance away, the sensation disappears and the spectators gasp and point. The man turns around to find out the cause of his life still being intact and his eyes widen at the woman before him.
He takes in her intimidating and frightening attire of what appears to be human or other creatures bones. Black wings are open behind her seeing as she just landed from fluttering in the air.
"Are you alright?" she asks. He nods after almost jumping out of his skin from the terrifying voice. She nods in relief before her eyes land on his son, a teen. She narrows his eyes at him. "Good luck, Clark." she whispers only audible for him to hear making his blue eyes widen. She salutes the crowd before taking off into the stormy sky, above the gray clouds and into yet another portal.
***
The same woman from before looks over the windows of time she opened before her.
"Not too many changes but enough to let them think I'm immortal." she whispers to herself. Her black hair slowly loses color to form purple and her magenta eyes also lighten, to a Cerulean blue. Her once pale skin darkens to fair as her light pink lips also darken slightly. Finally, her wings, armor, and scythe fade from view to be replaced by a blue t-shirt, black jeans, and blue sneakers. She sighs.
"Ah, that's more like it. No more worrying about heavy armor. Perhaps I should get ready for tomorrow...after all, that's when it all begins."
I like the original Justice League cartoon but I also like the War version...hmmm... I'll go with the original... Maybe... Damn it! Maybe both, but some don't want to join yet??? Meh, whatever.

I rewrote this into a new story since I just used the original Justice League story called "A Fortunate Crash" because it kept showing the original chapter instead of the new ones. Feel free to re-comment.
