You've heard the famous tale of the star-crossed lovers whose love was forbidden and ended tragically, but you haven't heard a tale quite like this.

Welcome to the Ming Dynasty, otherwise known as the Empire of the Great Ming, which was at its peak of influencing trade, culture, and might. Here we have two families well-known for their great skill in martial arts, first we have the Hung family, famous for the Hung Fist; the Hung Fist is known for the close-range intricate hand techniques and low stances, it also incorporates the use of animals within it's fighting style such as the dragon, snake, tiger, leopard, and crane. Hung Ching Pao studied this style, and after mastering it, he then became a local sensation through hand-to-hand competitions facing other fighters from different parts of China. Then there is the Hua family, famous for the Hua Fist; the Hua Fist is known for its smooth, well-connected movements and its flawless stances, others described its techniques is "like a fast burst of wind". Hua Ho-fan mastered this style and was also big in the martial arts world, but one day, these two famous fighters finally were able to duel, but soon came to find out that their skill is almost equal to each other, both fighters would take their final blows at each other, and would come to find out that they ended in a stalemate, frustrated with their efforts, Hung Ching Pao and Hua Ho-fan would vow to each train a pupil and take their place in hopes of being the best, so they both opened up schools in different provinces. Hung Ching Pao would open up his school in the Southeast Hebei Province in the city of Cangzhou, and Hua Ho-fan would open his school in the Xiqing District of the city Tianjin.

With these two schools established, the rivalry between Hung Ching Pao and Hua Ho-fan, both masters settled down and each raise their own children which would grow up to be masters of their family style, Hung Ching Pao would give birth to a boy named Qiang; Qiang meaning "brave", and Hua Ho-fan would give birth to a girl named Meiying; Meiying meaning "beautiful flower". This is where our story begins...
