Chapter 6
*Maela's POV*
This was the third bar we were going in. I was ready to give up, honestly, but something told me just one more.
Destany and I were 21, DaRae was 20, and Victoria was 19. They usually let you in bars if you're 18 in New Orleans and they check ID's at the bar.
We walked in and I couldn't even hear myself think. There were so many people in there. There weren't that many in the other bars we went to. I was getting excited because maybe there were that many people because the boys were there. I didn't want to get my hopes up, though.
We were walking towards the bar with myself in the lead. When we got to the bar, we ordered myself a beer and Destany didn't get anything because I told her she had to drive. When I looked over, I swore to myself I saw a streak of familiar blonde hair ease across the floor.
I blinked and looked again, hoping it wasn't a hoax, but when I took my eyes off of the spot, it disappeared when I looked back.
It was probably just something that looked like him. He wasn't the only one with that hairstyle.
I shook my head and turned back to DaRae who was sitting next to me.
"What's wrong," she asked me, "are you already too turnt up?"
I laughed at her comment.
"No. I've only had barely half of a beer," I replied, "I just swear I thought I saw Niall. It probably wasn't him, though. What are the chances of that?"
"Maybe it was. Maybe he is here. He's probably spotted you and is about to walk over to ask you to marry him." She teased me.
"Yeah, okay. Thanks for that. That's definitely going to happen. I wish." I replied.
We both laughed and teased each other for a little bit while Victoria and Destany did the same in the seats next to us.
*
After about 5 minutes of just chilling up at the bar looking around for the boys, we had given up.
We were about to leave when DaRae got this look in her eyes. She looked like she was staring at a ghost.
It kind of freaked me out, so, naturally, I looked back to see what she was looking at.
I thought my heart was going to give out. It was him. Niall Horan was there. He was actually walking towards us. NIALL FUCKING HORAN WAS WALKING IN MY DIRECTION. WAS THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENING?
I looked back at DaRae and mouthed, "WHAT?"
After I did that, I looked back and Niall Horan was standing not even 2 feet away from me. 2 FEET!
It felt like I just stared at him for 10 minutes. I couldn't believe I was this close to Niall Horan from One Direction. He was literally my soul and he was standing right in front of me. It felt like I was having a heart attack, but I was just paralyzed from shock.
"Hello, love." He said, pulling me out of my thoughts.
He just called me love. Holy shit. Niall Horan just called me love. Fuck. Say something, Maela. Say something.
"Hi, there." I said, trying to act like I did this all the time.
"I'm Niall." He said to me. Like I didn't know his name.
"Yeah. You are. Aren't you?" I said to him. What the fuck? What kind of introduction was that?
He laughed at my response as I turned beet red. Why didn't you just say your name, Maela. What the fuck is wrong with you?
