Troop13

We've been out there for days, searching for the impossible. I'm Seth Freewing, a soldier of the National Army. I belong to a nice troop, Troop13. My troop was out in an abandoned city a few miles away from the nearest base. We were there to search for something that might not even exist. Aliens.

A few days back, a nearby city grew empty all of a sudden, without a trace of the past citizens. A few speculate the reason behind this were aliens. Obviously, the General didn't believe it. Days after, another city's people vanished. Some of our people went to investigate and they found some kind of liquid. It was sent to laboratory for identification, but no liquid of the same type ever existed.
Still this wasn't enough for the army to believe. Another investigation was set at the two cities at the same time. The teams found a crystal, an illegible inscription on paper, and another piece of paper with what looks like random letters written on it. The one that seems easiest to examine was the paper with random letters, so we took a look at it once it was brought back to base. On the paper reads "SVOK! ZORVMH ZIV ZGGZXPRMT!". The message was short but it looks important. After idle days went by, the message was translated. The message's translation is "HELP! ALIENS ARE ATTACKING!". The General sent us to the most recent city that has been emptied. And that's why we went there.

In Troop13 are 5 members. One is Marc Greenfield, a brave soldier. He is the leader of our troop. Another member is John Parker, a smart one. Then there is Carmen Foxx, the only female member of Troop13. Another one is, Bryan Irving, the swift one. Finally, there is me, the average soldier. This troop is a pretty normal troop, compared to other troops like Troop0, which is the most respected troop in the National Army.

Only four troops were sent to explore the whole city. Troop7, Troop13, Troop9, and Troop0. We were given the task to explore what remains of the city and report back when we find something.

I hoped the trip to the abandoned city will turn out good for all of us.
