"What was that?", I asked curiously. "We found what we are looking for." John stated. "Marc, over here!". Carmen has found something. We checked. It looks like the same liquid we found from before. "We'll just leave it here. We have enough samples back at the base.", Marc said. Yeah, we have enough. We have like one beaker of the liquid. We left the basement. On the way out of the ruins, we met Troop0. "Oh, Hello, sir!", Marc was reffering to their troop leader, "Shrike". It is his codename. He was called as such because he is skilled with knives. He could've qualified as an assassin.

"Sir Marc! You wouldn't believe what we saw!", he spat out. "A monster, isn't it?", Marc asked. "Did you encouter one, too? So there wasn't only a single alien left here." Shrike said.

The two troops talked for a while. Then each said their "good lucks" and gave their salutes. Troop0 continued to inspect the city. Troop13 would be returning to the base. We marched out of the abandoned city, to a jeep just outside the city. We left it there, since the ex-city has lots of debris, which does not permit vehicles to pass through.

John drove the jeep back to the base. We talked about the alien we encountered back at the city. It was a long discussion. It was all we talked about until we arrived at camp.

We are here. At "Camp Alestronite". Where did the name come from? It is a luminous, green crystal, which is malleable. It is a rare mineral. Rumors here at camp, is that if a soldier here accomplishes something that is as difficult as driving a submarine in a desert, a medal made out of Alestronite will be awarded to the said soldier. Of course nobody in camp has it. Even the high-ranked soldiers.

I doubt that the rumors are true. But I won't really know until someone gets it. Better if I get it myself.
