I never believed in putting my hands on a female. I was raised better than that. But Lashontae was two seconds away from meeting the back of my hand. "Where did you get that necklace from?" Still on the ground and still having a gun aimed at my face, I looked in her eyes, searching for an answer. I could tell by the way she holding the gun, that the gun wasn't loaded. Her hand was slightly shaking; bringing me to the conclusion that she didn't have enough balls to shoot me.
"That ain't none of your business, ight?" She snapped, glancing back and forth between JC and I. I took that time to look at how much damage Darnell had done to her face and it got me angry all over again. Just like Tessa, she had a black eye and beneath it, she had a small scratch that would bleed periodically if you happened to touch it. Just seeing that my made stomach churn, so I had to turn away. My eyes landed right back on Lashontae.
I knew something wasn't right with this girl. Maybe that's why I kept getting that strange feeling every time she came around, every time she touched me. Did she really think that she would get away with killing my grandma? Did she really think that what was done in the dark..wouldn't come to the light? All I could really do was laugh and without warning, I raised my hand and slapped the wind out of Lashontae, having her fall down.
"You bitch!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, holding the side of her now redden cheek. I could see my handprint appear on her skin. The gun flew from her grip and it slid across the floor. Getting up, I grabbed the gun and walked back over to Lashontae. Darnell had somehow pulled himself over to JC's love seat and laid down. He was losing large amounts of blood by the minute and soon enough, he was going to start slipping in and out of consciousness. I wasn't done with him just yet.
I grabbed the gun from and examined it and after a while, I realized that the chamber was empty. I shook my head and laughed. She wasn't about that life for real. "I knew you weren't that stupid, Lashontae." I told her. Before she had the chance to respond, JC handed me Sally, our gun that we kept for desperate measures, and I pulled the trigger right then and there. Blood and brains splattered everywhere. I wasn't bluffing when I said all hell was going to be raised
JC and I watched as Lashontae's eyes rolled into the back of her head. I felt absolutely no remorse for ending a life like that. Instead, I felt happy in a sick kind of way. Izzy is probably turning in her grave right now, but that was the least of my worries at the moment. Sighing sharply, I glanced at JC, who was looking at Darnell. He was still alive; no doubt about it.
"Can I do the honors?" She asked, her voice cracking as she did so. I handed the gun over to her.
She walked over to the other side of the room where Darnell somehow slid himself and began whispering some inaudible shit to him. I didn't know exactly she said, but it was somewhere along the lines of "see you in hell" or some like that.
With those being her last words to him, she lit him up, using all the bullets Sally had. A smile approached her face like she had just accomplished something. But then we heard the 5-0 sirens sounding outside. It sounded like they were approaching the front of the house. Somebody probably heard the gunshots and called the police.
"COME OUT WITH YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR! THE HOUSE IS NOW SURROUNDED!" An officer yelled, using a horn to project his voice. Sighing, I looked at JC and she looked at me.
"Ready?" I asked her.She cracked a weak smile. "As ready as I'll ever be." Taking her hand, we walked to the front door together. JC took position and placed both of her hands behind her head as I opened the door. A bunch of officers were waiting for us on the other side, immediately tackling us to the ground.
"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law..."
