The ocean

The salty breeze stung my freckled cheeks as the brisk water flapped over my feet. Unwanted was the word ringing through my ears. I looked at the turbulent waves, fuelling the hurricane inside me. I forced myself into the dangerous waters, letting them trap me in their watery grave. Tighter and tighter my lungs were getting. I gasped for one last breath as the darkness surrounded me.I forced open my eyes, seeing only the sandy ocean floor. In a panic, I tried to kick to the surface but there was a slimy green tail where my legs once were.
