I was impatiently waiting for my best friend Lucy. Where was she? She was supposed to pick me up from my workplace 30 minutes ago. Suddenly, I heard a car honk. I turned around and saw the familiar red car I was expecting for. I rushed to the car's side. The window opened.

"Sorry I was late. I got mixed up with another child care centre!" said Lucy with an apologetic look.

"It's fine. Just unlock the car so I can get in," I said tiredly.

"Oh sorry! Get in," flustered Lucy with another apologetic look.

I got in the car before giving Lucy a grin. This wasn't the first time this has happened. Since I changed child care centres a lot of the time, it was hard to keep up with which child care centre I was currently working at.

"Lucy, could you drive me to the train station instead, so you don't have to drive as much?" I asked.

"Yeah sure. I need to be home as quick as I can because Josh is waiting at my house," Lucy said with a sheepish smile.

I gave her a knowing look. Ever since she had gotten a new boyfriend, she barely had enough time to hang out with me anymore. As for me, I wasn't interested in boys, parties, etc. I had read enough fan fictions and watched enough movies to know how boys acted. I didn't want my heart to be broken. I was lost in thought until the car stopped.

"We're at the station Melissa," said Lucy.

"Thanks for the ride," I said before walking towards the ticket booth.
