Katniss and peeta AU

I woke up sprawled across the bed, naked, Peeta by my side, snoring quietly. I quickly get out bed careful not to wake peeta and put on my undergarments and clothes, then I make my way downstairs and into the kitchen,. I put the coffee machine on and sit down with the morning paper.

I hear heavy footsteps coming down the stairs and I instantly know it's peeta. I turn around and wrap my arms around him giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before untangling myself and going over to the fridge to grab breakfast. I get the bottle of pancake batter out of the fridge and pour some into the frying pan. Once the pancakes are finished I serve them up and put the plate on the table for me and peeta to share.

Me and Peeta are 23 and i have just finished college after 4 painful years of work. We met when I was in junior year at Panem high and he was a senior just about to graduate from Capitol high. we met in the coffee shop that his parents owned and he asked me out because he thought I looked like and interesting girl. After the first date he drove me back home and just as I was about to leave he spun me around and kissed me. After that all of my feelings developed ever y time I was with him and next thing you know it he was down on one knee at the end of my graduation night. And of course I had to say Yes!!!

Me and Peeta got married 3 months later the day after I turned 19, and it was of the most incredible moments of my life.

7 months after our wedding Peeta got a letter from the NFL in the mail that said he had been offered a spot as quarterback on the giants. and I'm not exaggerating when I say he was so excited that he punched a hole in the wall. 1 months later Peeta started out on his new job and in those 4 years he has lead the giants to 3 Super Bowls. I remember him coming home after that last championship all sweaty and gross and I wouldn't care at all I would just rip his uniform off and take him right the in the hallway.

BUT ...... the stupid thing was that we didn't use any protection and.....well.....i ended up pregnant.

9 months later me and peeta welcomed a new member to the Mellark family, a little baby boy named Orion. and that leads to where we are now.

Me and Peeta are getting ready for his high-school reunion ( we went to different high-schools) and really nervous about what people will think of me because Peeta was one of the most popular guys in school.

I am wearing along red dress that ends at my ankles and a pair of gold heels. peeta is in a simple black suit.

We are going to be there all night so we are dropping orion off at my parents place.

We get into the car and drive to my mum and dads house. once we get there we drop him off and we drive to Peeta's old school.

When we get there I start to feel really nervous. Peeta grabs my hand to reassure me " it's going to be fine katniss, all my friends are going to love you" he says. I nod and take a deep breath before stepping out of the car and making our way to the front of the school when we get there we are given name tags and told to make or way to the gym. when we get there we see a table that according to Peeta is occupied by his friends. Peeta pulls me along to the table and one of his friends see's us and calls put to Peeta. when we get to the table. every looks at me and I feel vulnerable just standing there. But Peeta saves the day introducing me to his friends. " guys this is my wife Katniss, katniss these are my friends finnick, johanna, clove, Cato, marvel, glimmer and Annie." "HI" they all say in unison "hello" I say back.

Over the next few hours I get to know everyone at the table and I have a great time. but we weren't aloud to tell anyone about our lives outside of this because there was a segment coming up called "where are they now"
where everyone has three pictures of themselves now, to show everyone how there lives are.

After a while it finally comes up to Peeta. At the start they show a picture of Peeta in high school. the first picture is from a few months back from when Peeta won the Super Bowl for the giants, he is sitting on top of everyone's shoulders while they celebrate. everyone in the room claps for peetas achievements. The second picture is one of me and peeta on our wedding day. that earns a few more claps. the last picture is of me, Peeta and Orion just after he was born. The room is silent.

And then it erupts in loud applause for the star football player of their year.

After a few more people the segment finishes and we all turn to one another. " YOU HAVE A SON" Jo explodes. we just nod. "WOW peet I never thought you would have children" "neither did I but it happened and he is the best thing that could ever happen two us" "how old is he" asks Annie " two years old" I respond " can we see him?" glimmer asks. I nod and get up and walk out of the school and down the road to my parents house . I knock on the door and my dad answers. "hi dad I'm wondering if I can pick Orion up" " sure thing sweetheart" . I wait for a few minutes before Orion comes racing down the hallway "mommy" he yells I bend down and pick him up "Oreo do you want to meet some of daddy's friends, Orion nods. then walk back to the school and into the gymnasium. when we get there everyone at our table looks our way and smiles. Orion gets squirming in my arms so I put him down and he runs over to Peeta. He picks him up and puts him on his hip so everyone can see him. But all of a sudden he gets shy and he buries his face in Peeta's chest. "come on Oreo they won't bite" Orion slowly takes his head put and then looks at everyone "hello" he says quietly "HI" everyone replies. Peeta puts Orion down in his chair and comes and sits next to me. "what's your name" finnick asks "Orion" Orion says "aaawwwwww" everyone at the table says.

Over the next everyone has a great time with Orion but he eventually falls asleep and we decide its time to go home.

I think I had great time meeting all of of peeta's friends.
