Kageyama Tobio; the King of the Court. The stone-faced genius. Hinata Shouyo's lover.

Well, lover? Not so much.

Kageyama loved Hinata very dearly. He didn't know if Hinata felt the same anymore, though.
He visited Hinata before class, after class, before club, after club, and every bit of free time he had.

Kageyama used to yell at Hinata all the time, but he never listened.
Hinata didn't talk much these days, either.

After it happened, Kageyama didn't talk to Hinata much either. Until one day...

Kageyama spotted Hinata in the distance, and ran over.

"Morning, Hinata." He offered an awkward smile, but Hinata did not react or speak. "It's been a while since I last heard your voice. Since I last saw you smile." Kageyama rubbed at his neck awkwardly.

Hinata did not answer.

"Hinata, you need to talk. This isn't a joke." Kageyama was struggling to keep his composure. Hinata remained still and silent.

"Please... Please, talk to me! You have to say something!" That normally stone-faced boy was reduced to a sobbing mess in front of Hinata. "What did I do to deserve this?"

Tsukishima stumbled upon Kageyama, and snickered to himself. He considered snapping a photo to blackmail Kageyama.

But then Tsukishima stopped, hearing Kageyama's next few words.

"Hinata, it's been months already..." Kageyama choked. "But... But I absolutely refuse to believe that you're dead!"

The setter didn't bother trying to soften his voice, and allowed himself to sob loudly.

Tsukishima had left Kageyama to weep over Hinata Shouyo's grave.
