A Different Path

Leo's Story

      A couple of days after Sonic's death, Leo got word of what happened to his best friend. They fought earlier, however, Leo didn't see his friend as someone who would be killed by another. When Leo arrived home, he prayed to god. The only person he thought was listening to him at that time.

     "God please take him into open arms. He did not know what he was thinking, he is clouded in his mind, confused about what he should believe, Please Lord, forgive him. I ask that you forgive me for the last of words I spoke to him, in Jesus' name Amen." Leo pleaded. The next morning, he walked out of the house holding a banana as well as a bible. He read while he walked to school. He saw two students talking about what happened to Sonic. He just ignored it and continued to go to class. Many would blame him for the incident however, Leo did not care, he just forgave those who deceived him.

     Leo was seventeen years old. he stood six-foot,  two inches tall, very slim, he was not very much into sports, and he was incredibly smart. The year ended, Leo prayed, but he looked beside him knowing that was the seat Sonic was going to have. He was caught in an illusion that his best friend was next to him smiling and waving, it was only Leo's mind playing tricks on him. A tear dropped from Leo's eyes. 

     "I am so sorry Sonic." He whispered to the ghost of his best friend as the ghost seemed to look at him funny. His name was then called, so he walked onto the stage grabbing his diploma. He was the last graduate to receive his diploma in the line as the crowd roared with cheer. Leo still had his best friend on his mind, wondering if his theory was true. He also wondered would he see his best friend once again.

       Five years passed from that day, Leo was now twenty-three years old.  He was now a college graduate, no longer thinking about Sonic's death. It was forgotten, Leo continued to live his life, he had a well-paying job in his career. That moment he saw a beautiful girl, around the same as he was. He approached her without a second thought. Not doubt his mind that she was the one that he wanted to talk to.

     "Hello, my name is Leo," Leo said. the girl turned around with a shocked look on her face, surprised that he approached her randomly. She examined him while Leo did the same to her. Leo was not really good at talking to girls, so he was careful about what he said.

     "Oh, hi my name is Sierra, Pleased to meet you, Leo, that is a very cute name," Sinera said to him, Leo smiled lightly as he put his arm around her. Sinera giggled lightly while she leaned up against him, pressing her slim body against his. Sinera was fairly tall for a female, she stood 5 foot 11 inches, almost 6 foot tall. She may have been slim, however, she was beautiful in Leo's eyes. Her eye color was a light blue while Leo had a blackish eye color. They stared into each other's eyes as Sierra bit her lip softly.

     "Want to go to dinner sometimes? That is if you're not busy." Leo said to Sierra. Sierra only smiled, then she nodded Later that night, Leo and Sierra talked during a dinner that Leo paid for them to go to. They found out a lot about one another, they had a similar interest so they thought they were perfect for each other. Leo made her his girlfriend and a few years later he made her his wife.

     A few more years have passed as Leo and Sierra thought about their future, it was pretty much set and Leo thought it would be appropriate to have children. They both agreed on the idea. A son and a daughter were born from the couple, both of them one year apart. The son was named Leo Junior, after his father as the female was named Serena. As they grew Serena moved into a village and had a daughter herself. Her daughter was named Sinera. Leo passed away when Serena raised her daughter with a man she called her husband. That man butchered Serena, killing her in front of her own daughter. When Sinera turned 18, the village was in trouble because a fortune-teller told the elder that the volcano was going to erupt. This spiked a public panic as the elder concluded.

     "We must sacrifice a female virgin to the volcano god. Only then will he be happy, and bless us without erupting the volcano." The elder stated as everybody cheered looking around. Sinera's father looked directly at her as Sinera began to run. Her father caught her and made her volunteer to be thrown into the volcano. So they did.

 
     "Stand before me, Leo, be one of my warriors as you were one of my most loyal followers. Become a guardian angel of the humans, protect them from evil. Help them in need. Leo, I will allow you to wield a form of Excalibur. This will be your weapon if you agree. The choice is yours." God stated as Leo bowed in respect. Leo died at the age of 85, however as a guardian angel, he only appeared to be 23 years of age. Leo nodded, agreeing to be the guardian. The loyal Christian now a warrior of God.

     "I will be happy, to serve you, sir," Leo said as angelic wings shot out of his back. His wings were the same as the other angels, however. Michael guided him, Michael trained him, and Michael was the one that was going to stay with him, as a father, as a mentor. God watched over the human realm as he noticed a disturbance, a demon was now in the human world. God didn't like that.
