Chapter 1: How It All Started

Charlotte's POV

Me and my best friend, Haylee, started a cover group when we were 15 called Nights of War (NoW for short). I was originally the guitarist, Haylee the vocalist and bassist and our old friend Danni on drums. but when she turned 16 she was diagnosed with a throat infection that she had gotten when she was 14 and her vocal cords have been severely been damaged so she can no longer sing properly but she can still talk and she is perfectly fine. So we had to swap roles so now I am the lead vocalist and lead guitarist and Haylee the bassist as Danni left due to a disagreement between her and Haylee involving Danni getting a black eye because she called Haylee a whore that couldn't play bass for her life. Which we both knew was completely wrong as Haylee has only had sex with 2 guys and she won a competition online for who can play the bass better. So Haylee got mad and punched her straight in the eye. But enough of the violence let’s just start on the last day of senior year.

My alarm went off at 6:00am because it was graduation and I had to get all of my clothes together. I got up, had a shower, got dressed into my clothes for the day of school (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=43811519), put my dress and shoes for graduation into their carry bags (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=43811706), did my make up for the day of school and put my make up for graduation in my makeup bag (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=43812249). I went downstairs and started eating my breakfast when I heard the post come through the door. I finished eating and ran as fast as I could to the door to see if it was here. I know what you're thinking and IT is the letter containing the results of the contest Nights of War entered which was to have a jam session with our favourite band Black Veil Brides. I found the letter from the contest holder and opened it it read:

Dear Nights of War,

I am excited to tell you that you have won the competition to have a jam session with the band Black Veil Brides, you are extremely lucky to have got the opportunity.

Your jam session will be held on the 18th of May (today is the 16th) at Greys Auditorium.

"OH MY GOD!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

My mum came running down the stairs with a baseball bat.

"What's wrong?" She asked me.

"Nothing's wrong. We won the contest!" I told her.

"The Black Veil Brides one?"

"Yes I'm so excited."

"Well done sweetie have fun."

And she walked back up the stairs. I was putting my plate in the dish washer when there was a knock on the door. I walked to the door and looked through the peep hole to see it was Haylee. I opened the door to be bombarded with a bear hug.

"Hey Hay, guess what?" I said when she stopped hugging me.

"WE WON!"

"OH MY GOD!"

We started jumping up and down screaming, getting dirty looks from everyone that passed my house. So I gave them all the finger and they walked off sulking.

"Come in, I just gotta get my bags and my guitar then we can go." I told her.

We were performing in the talent show at school today; we were going to perform Fallen Angels by Black Veil Brides. Danni agreed to come back to the band as her and Haylee made up and we got our other friend Jess to join the band as the rhythm guitarist, so we had a full band once again. I grabbed my bags, my guitar case (with my guitar in I'm not that stupid), ran out the door to Haylee's car, got in, put Set The World On Fire on and then we were off to our last day of school.
