Natalie's P.O.V~

"So kiddo.. Whatcha wanna do to celebrate?" My dad wiggled his eyebrows giving me his funny face making me laugh.

"Can we go to the Gypsy Kitchen?" I say giving him a hopeful look.

"Sounds great Nat-Pat-Patoot-toot!" My dad responds using the nickname he used to call me when I was seven.

"Come on dad," I whine. "You know I love you but that nickname is just wrong."

"So you've said before." he chuckles.  "So, I have some news to tell you while we're at dinner okay?" He tells me.

"Okay! I'm just glad the custody battle's over and I can come live with you now." Dont get me wrong, I love my mother, but growing up, dad was always the one who made me chicken wings and drove me to the movies with Katie and Lauren and he bought me my first cat.

"Me too sweetie." He says.

Both of my parents are successful entrepreneurs but because of the recent money issues in my mothers company, they had started to argue a lot. My mom became even more uptight than usual that whenever my mom was home, my little sister would beg me to take her to get ice cream or go to the park. Because I'm almost seventeen, I was allowed to pick my legal guardian, but the court had decided that since Nelly, only being eight years old, should live with our mom. My dad had argued that Nelly would have an older sister to talk to and be with but the judge thought that our mother could take better care of her.

"And for you miss?" the waiter said turning to me.

"I'll have the garlic shrimp please" I say smiling up at him handing him my menu.

"If you need anything, just let me know the waiter said never taking his eyes off me.

I blushed and looked down at the Patatas Bravas that was in front of me and my dad. I looked back up when I knew he had left. I glanced at my dad who was looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Well Nat, he seems like a friendly young man now doesnt he" my dad said with an amused look on his face.

"Why do you do this to me dad!" I exclaim covering my face with my hands. Now, most dads would be lecturing their daughters or trying to change the subject, but my dad has always been cool about these things and teases me about it.

"So dad, you said you wanted to talk to me about something?" I say quickly changing the subject.

"Actually, yes. This is very big news and I want you to be honest and tell me how you feel about it." He clears his throat. "Im going to be building a new company out in Westminster..." He paused waiting for my reaction.

"YOU MEAN WESTMINSTER ABBEY? IN LONDON!" I practically shout. My dad looked shocked for a minute then he started laughing.

"No, no, no, no." He chucked. "Westminster Colorado." He started laughing again.

"Oh. Right. There." I feel my face flush. Then I feel myself smile. This is great! I get to leave Lancaster. I've lived here all my life and I've never set foot out of Pennsylvanias boarders.

"So... What do you think Nat? A fresh start for me and you out in Colorado! What do you say?" He looked at me with eager and hopeful eyes.

"This is great news dad! I'm really excited. When do we leave?"

"Next week." He responds.

"Wait. I'm supposed to pack everything I own by next week?" I say in shock.

"Actually, I figured since we were getting a fresh start, I could buy you new, well, everything. If that's okay with you" He adds that last part quickly. I jump out of my chair and give him a big hug.

"I'm okay with that as long as I get to bring my books!" I say. My dad laughed and agreed.

We finished our dinner and because I dont have a room at my dads new apartment, he dropped me off at my moms. I walk in the house and close and lock the front door. I walk around making sure everything's locked before going upstairs into my sisters room to give her a kiss on the forehead and make sure she's not too cold. I close her door and head to my room to start gathering my books. I can't wait for a new adventure.
