We started talking before we dated
I fell for you in the first couple of days
But you had a girl, so I waited
Hoping things would work out my way
When you became single, I was estatic
My smile was as bright and big as the moon
The only thing left was to meet, and make this happen
So we hung out the next day afternoon
Fell for you even more the minute I layed eyes on you
The way you looked, talked, smiled
Thinking in my mind, we could be something new
Boy you made my heart race a million miles
You asked me out that night
I was confused, but Mariah fixed it
For once, everything was right
I never wanted to end this
But of course things started getting in the way
Confused, hurt, lost, I ended what we had
Ever since i've regretted that day
Now i'll never get it back
I let you slip through my fingers like sand on the beach
Never realised what I was throwing away
You moved on, i've been replaced
Sitting waiting again, wishing, wondering, will we ever be together again someday?
