Chapter Seven

After meeting Lilith and Charles, I continued to walk down random streets. Though my mood had been significantly lifted thanks to the two new friends I had just made, I dreaded going back to the Joker. I did not want to go back with the false and mad idea of him happy to see me, only to witness that he really didn't notice my absence, I don't want to witness him showing indifference to my presence. I don't want to see the possible truth that I don't matter to him.. And why should I? He has Harley. Harley who seems to love him oh so much, Harley that hangs around him all she wants, Harley who was around Longer than I have been. How could I, practically a stranger, compete against someone like Harley? I can't. I pause in my steps as I attempt to clear my thoughts. I shouldn't assume anything, I should ask the Joker...But would he deem me as Clingy? I shake my head before I continue to walk, possibly a nice long walk can lift my mood. Maybe even help me to forget about the Joker and Harley for now.
I make my way down a random street and let out a loud sigh as I continue to ponder over the relationship between Joker and Harley. As much as I shouldn't be thinking about it, I do nonetheless.. I find myself feeling strongly for the Joker and I realize just how much care I have seemed to gain for this man in such a short amount of time.
I sigh as I stop once more, deciding to lean against the wall of a random building. The Joker, Harley, and my emotions were all too much at the present moment. As I rest my head against the concrete wall, I close my eyes, attempting to once again clear my head of all foolish thoughts.
"There ya are." I open my eyes as I hear that annoyingly chirpy voice speak.
I turn to face my side and grimace at the sight of Harley.
"What are you doing here?" I quietly ask, making sure not to make my distaste for her obvious. Harley gives a quiet giggle as she walks closer, she leans forward till she's only inches away from my face before she lets out another laugh. I roll my eyes.
"Do you have anything you need or did you just come here to literally laugh in my face?" I murmur out of annoyance. Harley grins before taking a few steps back only to continue staring at me without muttering a single word. I let out a sigh as I decide to question her again, a surprised gasp leaves my lips as Harley's fist suddenly collides with my cheek. I try to not fall to the floor, the impact of the hit was too much of a surprise. I raise my gaze towards Harley only to see her large grin expand as she slowly pulls a small blade out of her pocket.
"Time to get crazy," Harley states in a chirpy tone, "Well...crazier for us."

I hold up my hands for protection as Harley lunges forward.
